Here's how you can remove your TPMS units at home. If you go in to a tire shop they might charge up to $20 a wheel to pull them and refill them with air. Here you can see what it takes to do it at home. I used an inexpensive tool for pulling a new valve stem into place. See below for a link to purchase one for yourself.

in olden days the tires were narrow and the side walls were wider, 85, 75. Nowadays with small numbers, 55, 60, it is more tricky.

Great video assuming your sensor is mounted on a steel stem with a nut that can be easily removed...the rubber stem mounted sensors are slightly more difficult and annoying and can't be reused from what I understand requiring a $10+ rebuild kit per wheel.

You see the tire shops are making a killing off of us because most TPMS are really cheap & they have the equipment to break your tire so they can do this in seconds while charging us $50-$80 a tire. Take out the TPMS, & you'll never need to get ripped off again!!! I'm just saying. 😫+🤬 could=🤗

Ok, so I'm wondering why you are even doing this. Was the TPMS leaking air, or did it have a bad batt? The great majority of vehicles will turn on a low tire pressure light on the dash if the batt goes dead in a TPMS. By changing it over to a regular valve stem, the computer still isn't getting a signal from the wheel, so the light will be on. There is no advantage in changing over to a regular valve stem unless the TPMS is leaking air. I thought you were going to show how to do what you did, and then show how to permanently turn the light off on your dash indicator. I don't get what this was for.....

This videos propose was to show a person how to avoid going to a tire shop and paying them $20 or more for the same exact service you can do at home with simple tools. The video was only made to show you how to change a valve stem without going to the tire shop, nothing more, nothing less. This video has helped me out a lot. I honestly had no idea what to do, and after watching this video, I have a better understanding of how to break the bead of a tire on a rim. I needed to replace the valve stem on my TPMS sensor, it cracked right above the valve and I can't put air inside the tire, instead of taken the tire to my local tire shop and getting raped with high cost, the tricks in this video really has gave me an idea what is needed to do this job at home. It sounds like you need to do more research to fine the video for your certain job you need done, this video isn't it.

if there is no tpms sensor on the tire will a tire stem like this rotate around when trying to twist the cap off? I know i have a tpms sensor issue and only 1 of my tires stems will twist around in circles and Im wondering if that is why, there is no leaking or anything; Im just curious bc I bought the car used and I use an alternate way or monitoring the pressure in the tires from something I bought off amazon but if its only 1 that needs to be replace I would rather do that lol
