I got a bad tpms sensor on my front tire. I think it’s the whole stem. Got a slow leak. Gonna replace the whole stem. I think I am gonna try this.

Thx that was super easy

When you brake the seal on the tire don’t you have to seal it again ?

My question is how much low end torque did you lose w this? Just bought an 06 that came with one of these & am worried I'm gonna not like the lack of low end torque compared to Stock...

What about the sensor part at the end of the stem? Do I need to buy a new one with the stem or use the same piece??

My lights are on the blink. I checked the power source coming into the unit and it's good so that means it's something in the charger itself. It's only a few years old so this is very disappointing for a unit that sits high and dry in a center console of a boat.

Now I'm going to have to try this. Same size tire. Discount Tires wants $150 to mount and balance my wheels.

My exact problem as well. Prior to the fix did the housing assembly flop around when in the out position?
@SORENEAGLE7 ай бұрын
No. It just wouldn't return.
@nathanhiggins14388 ай бұрын
So “tire protectant” is a sealant for the bead?
@SORENEAGLE7 ай бұрын
Not a seal. It just helps you slide the bead over the rim.

It can be. You can do it yourself easily if your tires have a large sidewall like the ones in the video. The mechanics at the tire shop even struggle to mount a low profile tire using the tire machine.

Now if there was a way to disable the tire pressure warning light on the dash, this would be perfect
@YT-User101310 ай бұрын
All tires and rims are not the same. I just broke beads and there is no way this would have worked on my tires. 265/70R15. I used a scissor jack under a truck frame and it was difficult.

How do you balance it after mounting? Also, why did you pick BF Good.tires?

Doing this way, does that tire need to be balanced again?

Now how to calibrate the sensors?..........
@peterpurol7873 Жыл бұрын
I'm guessing that with lower profile tires (as you'd explained) I could probably use crowbars (wrapped in electrical tape to protect the rim) to coax the tires (275/40R17) onto the rim efficiently. What say you to that idea? Never tried it ever. Might work.

What rear bumper is this?
@joetoyota7903 Жыл бұрын
Did you put in a non-TPMS valve stem? If so, won't the computer sense this and the low air pressure warning light always be on? Doesn't that TPMS have to be in there if it was in from the factory?
