What a top bloke and role model - especially to the white working class. Not enough of these. Morals, ethics, family man, highly intelligent and a genuine fella. Did things his own way, even when all odds were against him. No bling, materialism or hype. Thanks for the many, many exciting nights!

Great career, won it all, gave us some great nights and showed great fighting spirit to come back from the Froch losses to win the title. Glad he saw the signs early and retired with all his faculties intact.

Love George. Froch was always one of my favourite fighters due to chin and heart but the way George handled that defeat and went on to be who he is made me completely change my mind.

Why do some of these guys like Froch and Degale hate him so much ? He's a good guy !!

I don’t think Froch hates him. Degale is just a childish tool
@TopCatsBack4 жыл бұрын
Don’t be fooled . He’s probably okay but capable of being a horrible prick ...regarding Degale rivalry he was known to say unsavoury comments 1 even mentioned his mother before the camera rolls so he was rattled ...serious .

Upmost respect for Georgie boy. Fellow Blues supporter....Reeespec!. Would love to know were George was when Chelsea won the champions league. I ran naked down my street with my pal Jack Daniels and a few lads...Excellent fights in his career De Gale etc and not forgetting the classics against Froch and all the banter added to the flavour. 1st fight he was stopped abit too quick, but in that fight George fought his best fight ever and out fought Froch all night long, was way in front on the scorecards before he got stopped. 2nd fight Georgie got smashed so what. Georgie did finally get his world championship belt. Has entertained me on many ocassions so upmost thanks....

I'd have loved him to train eubank jr to beat De Gale as one last piss take. Could be an interesting plot twist to why he isn't commentating
@fishyweasel5 жыл бұрын
david chester. Very good, your comment did make me chuckle, but I hope DeGale smashes Eubank. I just can’t gel or like Eubank. Never been a Eubank fan, even when SNR was fighting. So on that note I hope that DeGale bashes him up .
@davidchester4295 жыл бұрын
@@fishyweasel Oh me too. But in terms of your top 5 boxers that you hope get chinned Khan will always be number one. Then I've got eubank but De Gale is probably 3rd. Then funnily enough my other two are also fighting and are both equally annoying. Warrington vs galahad probably equal 4th

I won't lie i was a big Froch fan back in the day so for a short time i wanted to see George get his head punched in. However i have to admit he's done brilliantly well with his career, has shown real grit and determination. Likewise, since he stopped playing the bad guy, he comes over as a really nice bloke so i wish him all the best in his retirement. George - if you ever read this(extremely unlikely!), thank for you some great fights to remember and enjoy your time with the family. :)
