Excellent video, I have the Atlas R Line, it's the first VW I've owned and I love it. Thank you for the video (well done)

Thanks to your reviews and headlights reviews i chose my Vw Atlas SEL 2022, i really like this videos. Just a suggestion, you should make a tier list or a score system to rank headlights and night illumination based on your experience. Greetings from Chile, south america

If you have bending lights, then you can code them to have adaptive high beams. it is called dynamic light assist, simple to activate. American Arteon also supported this out of factory.

How were you able to increase the brightness in the bottom center console?
@TheChampionluva4 ай бұрын
Great review, thank you! Wish VW would make the ambient lighting from the the dash to the door more of a continuous line rather then take a few inches of strip lighting off at the corners and end. Also, when the weather lighting is turned on, are those fog lights at the bottom or are they active in the same housing as the headlights?

Great video. How is the headlights visibility compare to other suvs in this category. Can you suggest which suv has the best headlights with corner lights

The fact that the volume and temperature slidwrs arent lit at night is horrendous.

It really isn’t that bad in that you get used to it and there are alternatives methods for adjusting each

Steering wheel control for audio volume is far more convenient than going to the screen, even if there was a backlit hard knob. It’s not hard to put a quick tap on the temp slider, or hit the (lit) ‘Clima’ shortcut button below the screen and then adjust on screen. It’s automatic climate control anyway, so I don’t need to do much temp changing.

Thanks for the information. I just picked up my 3rd Atlas (Lease) Peak Edition. I don't think this one has the VW symbol when I open the front door like my last one. Is this true or am I missing something?
@hockeynutt9434Ай бұрын
so basically at night when you want to change temp or turn vol up or down, you cannot see? What logical reason would VW come up with not back lighting below the screen. What a brutal oversight. Lack of lighting on center stack/storage bin is also terrible. This would be a pass for me.

Any ideas/info on why some cars have the second project (high beam) always on even when not in high beam mode? Im very curious as I see more and more cars do this now. Does it just put the high beam light where the low beam is? If thats the case does high beam just shift light instead of add light? Thanks!
@MikesCarInfo5 ай бұрын
It is very dim. Mostly for aesthetics. What's interesting is that some vehicle have a fake projector (Mazda CX-50 comes to mind) that never lights up, high or low beam.

well done headlights I think the high beam is adaptive but as always disabled!!
@Brian-jv8iy4 ай бұрын
Yes, it is adaptive and disabled. Second facelift brought dynamic light assist to Atlas, in the US it is supported but illegal. So people just code it on their own.

Just a question - what does the inner lights besides the reverse lights do ?
@MikesCarInfo5 ай бұрын
It seems like they are only reflectors.
@Brian-jv8iy4 ай бұрын
American cars have it disabled, poor weather lights should also lower the low beam and make it wider, but illegal in the US. Atlas supported for a few years now, coding of high beam assist.

@@MikesCarInfo Just as information, parking lights are dimmer than DRLs, I also thought about your comment on them not blinding, it is because they're dimmer than normal, not for use during the day as DRLS for example.
