Great car, they need to make a complete redesign to help it stack up to the Grand Highlander

It’s a best veichle I ever had so roomy and comfortable in highways I Have got 27 in 4 motion which makes it so economical.. so I have no complaints on this beautiful car. Only thing is keep changing the oil every 5000 miles since it is turbo engine
@paulshutter4 ай бұрын
Is this still the case for you? I have a 22 Tiguan and have to put around 4 quarts in my car in between oil changes. I was thinking of going up to the atlas to avoid this.
@shajum.k83164 ай бұрын
@@paulshutter Hey bro it’s still the same if you take it on a everyday basis you might get better mileage and also it depends on the quality of oil you put normally if I put Costco gas I don’t get better mileage but if I put like a Citgo gas I used to get better mileage avoid cheap gas and vw has better warranty 4 years and 50000 miles if you wanted to extend it doing it at the time of purchase only if you are keeping the vehicle for long and 3 years of oil changes are free for the atlas and I change my oil 5000 miles I prefer that rather than 10k I already had 2 oil changes so far .. I would say you test drive the car and take a call , but trust me the gear shifting is way better than Tiguan it’s more refined.All the best bro.. Heads up display is worth too if you go with sel

Numbers are truly irrelevant sometimes. I’m 6’5” and I can comfortably sit behind my own driving position in an atlas. I don’t fit in either the front or back or a Highlander comfortably, and definitely not behind myself. The atlas has better rear seat room for tall people than every single suv on the market, and I’ve done this exact test on almost every current offering since I just car shopped recently. It even beats out full size body on frame models like the sequoia, the Tahoe, the expedition. The only vehicle on sale with a better back seat, at least from my experience, is the X7

What's your thoughts on the non leather material? Does it hold up?

It's all fine and Dandy that Toyota has the Hybrid options and the GH is a beautiful truck as well BUT where I am in Ontario, You just can't get one! the Hybrid is a 2 year wait and the gas is 2-8months depending on colour choice and how far down the list you are already. I went to buy a GH and was told most likely an 8 months wait at least for the Storm cloud or White.

My wife and I have a Volkswagen atlas. We hit a deer in May and now it is January of the next year and the parts are not being manufactured. Buying a Volkswagen is very risky since the company is not making parts for the cars very expensive paying a car payment and buying another car that we can drive Volkswagen is a joke. Don’t be tracked.

I couldn’t agree more. I had a 2019 Atlas which was a great car. The salesman at the dealership we bought all our VW’s at convinced me to trade my 2019 in for a 2024 model. The issues I have had with this car from electrical to mechanical including the rear view mirror assemble falling down while driving have been a nightmare. The dealership (Waterloo VW) provided me with nothing but lip service. I got so fed up, at 10,000 KM’s I traded this albatross in for a new 2024 Lexus RX 350. Most frustrating vehicle I have ever owned.

I think suv's are getting too big so I appreciate manufacturers that are not fighting for who has the biggest vehicle.
@trevormuhlestein85167 ай бұрын
have you really ridden in the back seat of the other 3rd rows? there is the same space if not less. IF there happens to have more room it sacrifices the storage that the Atlas has with the 3rd row up. its just a trade off that you can call positive or negative depending on what you want more. honestly you see Downshift here with enough headroom and enough knee room for a ride....its not the front seat but its just fine for what it is
@elliott39915 ай бұрын
this is about only review that says Atlas is not the largest of the non Large suv for third row . Atlas even sometimes gets included in comparison with the large ones..

This was not designed for the US alone. That is a false statement. This thing is sold in Canada and Mexico (Part of North America) and Latin America (Marketed and sold as the VW Teramont). Also sold in China. In fact the Atlas was originally conceived and manufactured in China. So if anything the Atlas is a 100% Chinese VW.

I usually set my HVAC to AUTO and unless the system is CRAP AUTO should work just fine 95% of the time. If you need BIGGER then you need a Tahoe/Yukon or Suburban/Expedition.
