When auto bright lights is on the hi beams see ANY amount of red from anywhere they will go to dim...you can't over ride that... you can only to to non-auto .... and the brights turn off about 2 sec to late so the on coming car must think you are a jerk .... so I never use it. On my 4th Forester .

I'm still so surprised that matrix headlights and just good headlight regulations are still not a thing in the US. When I went over there almost every car seemingly was pointing upwards and blinding me at night, and visibility was worse, compared to back home when I'm driving my Outback with it's matrix headlights I never get blinded by other factory standard cars and I can see super far ahead very clearly even when other cars are around. I don't have a problem with them but you can turn off the steering responsive headlights if you want to through the infotainment, but I think they default to ON when the ignition is cycled.

I think they're planning on making them in the US soon but the model he is driving is made in Japan at the moment, the VIN starts with a J.

That LED that lights up the wireless charging pad, I guess just put a piece of electrical tape over it or somehow pull the little bulb out. Shame on Subaru for not realizing that. And the sliding around of your phone on that plastic, another faux pas on Subaru's part. C'mon.
