Good video, thanks. I'm thinking about getting a camper for my tacoma. Was wondering how the habitat is in the wind? Looking at the habitat, project M, or one of the wedge campers. Thanks

Well it is all tent material around you so in the wind it can get pretty loud but I've been in some pretty extreme situations and never felt like it was going to collapse. The Habitat has some pretty stout aluminum poles it's framed with. I would also look into the AT Overland Atlas as an option also. I haven't seen one in person but they look killer. I am looking at a Habitat myself. How comfortable is that mattress? A little concerned about it only being 2"... i am 6'1" and 230lbs, not really a small dude and i am spoiled from sleeping on an Exped air mattress in my RTT

Honestly they leave something to be desired. I swapped mine out for 2 Nemo roamed but I know quite a few people swap them for the exped mega mat duo (check the measurements on that). I also know someone that topped the existing mattress with a cheaper inflatable one that doesn’t have any foam in it and just pumps them up really quick with a electric pump they got. This is nice because you can keep the existing mattress and still leave the uninflated air mattress on top and still close the lid. There always options. Good luck

We have had the habitat on our 2004 prerunner trd for a couple of years. Great easy setup and take down. I’m curious about the “handle” you have on the interior latches. My sig other doesn’t have the wingspan to close it.

Hi Craig, I'm a little confused what handle you see? Are you talking about when I go to pull down on the open sleeping overhang and latch the support pole into place? Let me know. Thanks for watching and commenting

@@EvergreenOverland. Thanks for your reply. I meant on the inside rear window ,(above the tailgate on the shell), I thought I saw a cable that attached to the latches. Looks like it allows you to close it with one hand from inside.

Oh yeah that. I strung a piece of paracord between the 2 handles and threaded on a chunk of aluminum tubing I had lying around as a handle to turn and pull to latch it shut. Works good although I need to change the paracord out for wire as it has a little too much give and I think I could get the wire tighter.

I'm going to be mounting a Habitat on my 2012 Tundra in a few days. Did you install bed stiffeners in yours? I've been running a FlipPac for a year or so and haven't noticed any issues. Any thoughts?
