Bringing the NFL to the internet (including via PS Vue, Sling TV and its new standalone Sunday Ticket subscription), bringing back unlimited data on cell phones (even with the caveats), providing a more affordable solution to fiber than Comcast, and now doing away with set top boxes and offering over 100 channels for $35 a month on any device are just a few ways AT&T have drastically changed its business model. I used to hate this company with a passion, and now all I can hope is that Tom Wheeler approves this deal! Any way to hit Comcast and Verizon below the belt is fine by me!
@williamchoi8088 жыл бұрын
I love it when a good people take over content--it gives meaning. AT&T's leadership is all about "doing what's right" for their customers. It's all about making progress and supplying customers with the best. AT&T has the best customer service in its class, and I fully trust that they will continue this culture.
@blackfear15628 жыл бұрын
AT&T is just a company who does not care about you or I. I think the merger will be fine however AT&T should not be allowed to get any bigger then it currently is.

In comparison, better than most companies. And definitely better than most government agencies.
@blackfear15628 жыл бұрын
Bill C well it depends when you say most companies do you mean most companies in the US or do you mean on a global scale. In terms of the US i would say AT&T isn't the most evil but they are up there. I mean most of there success comes from buying out other companies which isn't good for the consumer pretty much ever. Competition always drives for innovation. I mean technically speaking AT&T has a lot of resources a viable to them and they could have revolutionized the way us Americans enjoy technology but chose not to make the investments. They just now are starting to because t-mobile heated up competition in the witless industry and hurt AT&T profits .

People who talk about "monopolies" here have no idea what the term means... AT&T and TW are not considered monopolies. Monopolies are when your grandmother's drug companies pay government officials to monopolize the particular pharma market and charge those unsuspecting elderly 4000% markup. TW and AT&T are in different businesses. One is content and the other is delivery--specifically, physical network delivery. By merging, AT&T can charge less and give more value, since the way it is now, AT&T has to pay for the content, which flows to the customer's cost.

What's next. Comcast Buying Verizon and AOL?
@Justin-Hill-19878 жыл бұрын
Comcast already owns NBCUniversal.
@me46548 жыл бұрын
Justin Hill and Warner Bros owns universal and Paramount so they own USA Syfy and NBC's watch the end of a show you will see the WB on ABC, NBC and CBS which there in partner ship.how could the FCC allow this!
@Justin-Hill-19878 жыл бұрын
deb patterson You're wrong. Warner Bros. is owned by TimeWarner. Universal, NBC, and Syfy are owned by Comcast. ABC is owned by the Walt Disney Company. CBS is owned by CBS, Inc. They may have a program on each channel that is made by Warner Bros. Television Studios, but Warner Bros. only distributes those shows to the stations through syndication or other means, the stations themselves don't own the shows.
@me46548 жыл бұрын
sorry Justin if you go to the CW website it tell's you right there that CBS is in partnership with CW.Case in point Supergirl leaving CBS to go too CW,and your right the stations don't own the rights,this is why Warner Bros made sure they bought all companies that they originally had Meyer Goldwin, TCM to have rights to all the I Love Lucy and also bought Fast and Furious Tokyo even though it's out of sync with the rest .They wanted the rights too Redick series. They own in part or stocks or partnership with all stations including religious channel's. Look up Wikipedia's explication of Warner Bro's. Let me know.Sincerely Deb
@Justin-Hill-19878 жыл бұрын
deb patterson CW is 50% percent owned by CBS, Inc. and 50% owned by Warner Bros. Turner only owns all the pre-1986 MGM movies, so anything past 1986 belongs to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios.

This is a business decission on both companies parts. For this deal to even cranked up the FCC had to determine if the proposed merger will create a Monopoloy. If it is determined not to be a Monopoloy the the deal can proceed, but if it is determined to be a monopoly this the deal dean in it tracks. With Trump as our President now there shouldt be any issue with getting FCC approval. Do we need to have a short civic lesson on why this is good and not bad?

Truly Incredible and Cutting Edge!!!
@sean81024 жыл бұрын
What's cutting edge? They just bought out a media company. They really need to worry about is the $158 billion dollars of debt they have. A large chunk of that the result of them buying DirecTV for $49 billion dollars. A total waste of money and stupid move. Cord cutting was already quite popular when they did it and has accelerated like crazy. Just last quarter AT&T lost over 1 million DirecTV and U-verse TV customers.

With $158 billion dollars of debt they need to pay off as well. And DirecTV is dying rapidly, loosing over 1 million subscribers last quarter alone. Buying DTV for $49 billion was a very stupid move by AT&T. Cord cutting was already popular when they did it and it's become massively popular now and is not slowing down.
