They do, I worked for ISP and worked with corp data security. The issue is the centralized model so attackers will always know where the honey pot is lol. Companies refuse to change their security model to decentralized data

And not a single person at the company will see the inside of a prison cell.

The hackers had the data for 2 years and now ATT tells people...wow

The hackers were probably an unauthorized NSA worker who logged into the “back door” of AT&T’s network, and intended on blowing the whistle that big gov is still spying on us. Before you call this a conspiracy AT&T is a government subsidized communication network, and all you got to do is ask yourself “what does AT&T exchange with our government for subsidies”?

" national security '' being exposed was the excuse.

When you intentionally create a backdoor for law enforcement to access records whenever they want to, what makes you think no one else will figure out how to give themselves access?

No... i have AT&T. I think they're just incompetent.

They could implement new energy efficient blockchain chain architecture to solve the security risks. But that means you give people the power. Things will get worse until our old dated tech infrastructure changes.

Nice going AT&T for total security negligence. That's why not ever having service with you.

Yeah, ditch AT&T! This is unacceptable!! They care so much about raking in ridiculous profits....but securing your private information? Not so much!

Maybe it's time to consider the possibility that these breaches are not due to backdoor coding hacks or human error, but that at least one quantum computer is now functioning and online that can bust encryption very quickly. It was only a matter of time.

What if the culprit able to profile users of ATT in their advantages to let say winning the election? 😂
