BUYER BEWARE!
Please help me to make my grievance go viral with AT&T regarding their service & strong arm tactics: (Please forward and add to this list if you are experiencing a similar problem)
AT&T seeks to penalize me for being a loyal customer for approximately 20 years for their service error and equipment.
1.) I upgraded from AT&T 3G to their 4G network. I upgraded my device back on 8/15/2015 using their Next plan purchase of a LG4 phone
2.) Shortly after, I began experiencing poor call quality in my home.Turns out the LG4 device had a manufacturer defect with screen freezes needing to have it replaced 3 times within the year
3.) In addition to the defective equipment, the cellular service signal in my home was very poor where I having problems making and receiving calls since upgrading to 4G. Never had this issue on the 3G platform
4.) AT&T gave me a Microcell Booster (basically a wifi signal booster) to deal with my signal strength issue, however, a year later of distorted calls and excessive troubleshooting, I was told my issue was due to a short antenna in the LG4, a tower down in my area, then finally they opened a case stating the Microcell was the root cause of my distortion requiring a firmware upgrade which did not exist. Basically they could not provide an answer but excuses
5.) AT&T upgraded my equipment to the Samsung 7 Edge then instructed me to no longer use the Microcell, but use the built in WiFi calling within the edge to connect to MY Wifi network to make calls in my Home...I'm paying for cellular service but using my My to make calls...
6.) AT&T gave me a courtesy credit on my bill in December 2016 but refuses to let me out my contract & seeks to penalize me for early termination in addition to place a no payment on my credit report for an issue they caused as I'm refusing to pay for poor service
7.) AT&T has received well over $3000+ in billing fees since upgrading and refuses to compensate me for paying for poor or non- existent service and my frustrations with trouble shooting their issue
8.) AT&T says that "They can not guarantee service in all areas at all times..." However the customer has the right switch. However in my case, being loyal a customer they are advising me to go to another carrier (a rep actually recommended me to go-to T-Mobile) but are using strong arm tactics to penalize me without any compensation or no courtesy credit since this isn't a billing error.
9.) AT&T has now threatened me with suspension of my service
