The plan was to get winter scenes in Grimsey. This video is taken late February. What we got was even better. Crazy pink colored sunrises and our new Nikon D850 met northern lights for the first time.

Your videos are absolutly wonderful. I visited Iceland 5 times and was fascinated by the landscapes. Visited Grimsey as well.

Hello Gudmann & Gyda, I haven't seen your videos and adventures for a while, I'm a Colombian who lives in Mexico, I'm also a photographer and a lover of this type of photography, each video of yours is incredible. A hug and congratulations for giving those of us who follow your channel so much beauty that God gave us. P.S. I don't know how well the translation turned out...it's Google's translator. Ha ha ha

I enjoy videos and pictures like the ones y'all take more than you'll ever know. I will probably never get to travel to see sights such as these (physical disability would make it very difficult for me to get to areas like these, even IF I could afford to go to Iceland.), but videos/pictures like yours bring a part of the world I'll never see in person into my life. Thank you! 🖤🖤🖤

So Iceland has only the tiniest piece of land north of the Arctic circle. Looks smaller than my back yard in area. 😂 You can actually see the Ball marker from a satellite image on Google Earth. Very cool.

The Third Pin Your backyard could quite well be bigger. :-)

Beautiful video. I expected the Island to be covered in snow. What were temperatures like?

In which month those Northern Lights photos were taken?
@GudmannAndGyda6 жыл бұрын
They are taken February 22nd 2018. The aurora season in Iceland is September - March. It is very difficult to bet on the best timing.

Did you bring your car in the ferry or rented at Grimsey?
@GudmannAndGyda6 жыл бұрын
I took my own car on the ferry. It takes few cars. If you plan to make sure to call the ferry company early. It is not possible to make a reservation for cars online, only for passengers.

For taking the car, was like the fare for 4 people? (Sorry for bothering!)
@GudmannAndGyda5 жыл бұрын
No problem. It was around $110 for a small jeep. Both ways. Just keep in mind that when going to Grimsey there is really only one rule you must keep in mind. Check the weather forecast. At least if you are going there in the winter. Taking a car on the ferry is great if you are staying for more than one day.

I wanted to see the houses, not the sunset

Sorry, but we are not much into human made structures. Our photography focuses on wildlife and landscapes.

I'm not trying to be harsh but literally, in the first 16 seconds of the video, he explains that they are landscape and wildlife photographers. What part of that statement says "🤔 I bet this video will have houses!"?
