These guys and In flames pretty much sparked the metalcore genre. I think these guys were less known in the early 2000's when metalcore was ramping up because they broke up after this album and In Flames was still together paving the way. Bands like Killswitch Engaged talk about these guys and In Flames being super influential when they were coming up in the early 2000s.

At The Gates inspired me in so many ways as an artist and musician. Their sound was really ahead of the times for the mid 90's. This is how you tear it up in under 3 minutes. My song Starving The Beast is heavily influenced by this track.

I remember seeing these guys when they toured the U.S back in 96' or 97'. I met all of them and they were the nicest guys in the world. I was heartbroken when they split and formed The Haunted. Glad they are back!

I listened to Dark Tranquility - The Gallery and enjoyed it. Its got a very similar vibe to this, For some reason though I can’t get into In Flames it’s not bad just not my cup of tea. And I actually listened to Edge Of Sanity - Unorthodox a few months ago and liked it but I haven’t heard Crimson I’ll definitely check it out next. Thanks for the recommendations guys.
