These guys and In flames pretty much sparked the metalcore genre. I think these guys were less known in the early 2000's when metalcore was ramping up because they broke up after this album and In Flames was still together paving the way. Bands like Killswitch Engaged talk about these guys and In Flames being super influential when they were coming up in the early 2000s.

I listened to Dark Tranquility - The Gallery and enjoyed it. Its got a very similar vibe to this, For some reason though I can’t get into In Flames it’s not bad just not my cup of tea.
