it was fun. I think the photo run they put on right after the water stop at Pointsettia on the way to san diego was the best part of the trip.I think you would have enjoyed it. It was packed though, there were 570 passengers on the train.

For a little extra, you should run your Surfliner trains with a Superliner second from the end.

Great Review! I have the FPM one and well, I love scalerail! so I'm gonna stick withg the FPM one, BUT! I think i'll use much of the scenry from this one and and incorperate it into the FPM one to make it well, RULE! But Jeff sure did a great job on this indeed!

great job on the review Nick. I epecially love the beach shot at 5:07 with 3751. I still remember that trip as if it were just yesterday, I was barely able to get tickets for the train. The train sold out about a week after my dad got our tickets.

The thing that bothers me about the freeware is that its is very inaccurate in some places as far as track placement, CP's being in the wrong place, notable grade crossings missing. The payware is Dead On accurate 99% of the way buuutt the freeware has all the sights. Thats why I use it! Great Vid! *****

Wonderful route; my only issue is that it's missing some of the grades around the lagoons; there should be a lot more rolling up and down; also Miramar hill should be a little steeper on the north side, but this is being very nit-picky. This is an amazing route.

Though there are some minor mistakes,(there is no cp capistrano, cp ash(san diego) is streched out too much, the speed limits are inaccurate, there are grade crossings and sidings missing, and the track is only accurate to about 2004. but either way, i still like it.

one more question... i now have this route and had to get xtracks to do so, the track is more the like original track that is in the routes that came with the game. your track for this route is more like streamlines or MLT's track.... could you post the link to where you got xtracks? i like your track better.

The Metrolink and Coaster set is from the Facing Point Media Surfliner route which was never officially released due to a cease and desist between 3d Train Stuff and FPM in 2003. If you find the route in a torrent the trains are included but you need to add cab views/sound for the Metrolink cab car and Coaster locomotive/cab car.
