Coming from the background I had to live through... drunken parents, foster care, living on the streets and... BEING PICKED ON or BULLIED; Dean Martin always turned me off. Never liked the dude. Never liked his singing - sounded like he was DRUNK! Never liked the characters he's played with Jerry Lewis - always BULLYING!!!! On the other hand, I've always liked Jerry Lewis' characters. He just made me laugh. And watching these old movies STILL make me laugh!!!!! I guess I can identify with a lot of those characters he played. But I didn't like Laurel & Hardy or Abbot and Costello either, for the same reasons.

I guess its a matter of taste and opinion, but Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis were one of the worst so-called comedy partnership I ever saw in movies. But Jerry Lewis really shined on his own in the totally classic and unmissable ",The Nutty Professor" which was a work of genius. His apology to the students for his behaviour at the end was so heartwarming. It gets you everytime, and he deservedly got the jot girl yoo!❤😂
