Do not buy this light. Thee buld dosen't produce sufficient uvb. The fixture itself is known to have issues with the reflector

Is this considered to be a heat lamp and or uvb? I ordered it because I was under the impression it's combined

It doesn't perform as advertised. Get it tested at your exotic vet or local reptile shop.

@cannabis enthusiast no and yea lol idk if it's the same for you but my bulb just wouldn't connect properly I guess. I gave it a shake and it turned on the next day

Don't buy this. The bulb is shit. The reflector has a high and low position, and there's no way to tell which is which without a uvb meter. We're seeing users' dragons ending up with mbd.

I have the large 54 watt version/combo kit and I have liked it/used it over the last year that Ive had it. When use a UVB light there are considerations one needs to take for better output. first not use it through the screen top but as a direct light source as the mesh screen cuts down on both UVB and UVA output. Secondly, the distance it's placed away from your animal/s plays a role in the output of the UVB. I don't have a professional UVB output meter but I sure wish I did. They are terribly expensive or I for sure would have one. The only way I'd accept that the bulb in this light is not up to par is if I actually saw someone use a reliable and quality UVB meter to determine the true output. Just claiming some random people using this light had poor results could be from a wide variety of different things which could include diet and temp or user error. If in deed the bulb in inferior then I'm thinking that another manufactures UVB bulbs (zoomed example) could replace the one that this light kit comes with. Otherwise a nice, light weight, durable, compact and can easily mount inside of enclosures with the included mounting hardware and the power cable is removable.A nice touch IMO.
