I’ve got this exact gun and I love it. Great value! Can’t complain for what I paid for it 👍🏼

I think ATA is the one to watch in the near future - these guys are trying really hard to make great guns at affordable prices 😁

As long as they keep the after sales service up, people won’t stop buying. I would like to see them invest in a big boys gun, like Yildiz did with the pro.

@@tgsoutdoors I agree, although their standard SP with adjustable stock at £595 is a pretty useable gun for weekend Sporting Clays and offers really nice looking wood! 👍

I had a o/u Webley and Scott made in Turkey and the middle rib got loose on both sides after about 1000 rounds, and after shooting in rain the color of the Turkish walnut started to be washed up. The manufacturer refused to send me other barrels saying that the action and the barrels must be fitted together. I offered to pay 500 pounds for one of their sporter that is on the marked for less than 1000 pounds, hence the production costs around 700, and they refused. People be aware of Turkish made stuff.

Lovely gun. No room in the safe at the moment but it would look good in there.

I do like a chunky fore-end because I've got hands like JCB digger buckets and a slim gun feels slightly odd.

ATA along with all the Turkish manufacturers are on the rise. Cost and effective manufacturing will change people views. Looking at this exact gun for my sister a shop is using this model and putting a adjustable comb and shortening a little for the ideal starter gun for women as there's nothing on the market sub £1500.

ATA and a ton of other shotguns are made in Turkey. Started looking last year and ran across a frequent feedback on Turkish guns that one gun is good quality, but the next is terrible.

Damn, the price went up a pound about midway through. ;-) I think the walnut pad is a bit gimmicky at this price point, but it'll be eye catching in the store, and easily replaced by the owner's choice of Pachmayr Decelerator or whatever. And I'm sure their wood shop generates plenty of suitable scraps of lovely walnut.
@tgsoutdoors4 жыл бұрын
The walnut of is a nice touch that puts it spec wise alongside guns of that style. I think however a pachmeyer would be a better idea

How to get the next generation into shooting? Act like a roadman
@Blondejam4 жыл бұрын
In the name of God, give me a copper pipe nailed to a broom handle and I'll hit a target! I do not care about refinement of engraving or the cut in the wood etc. Does the bloody thing hit targets? My background is rifles and static target shooting and have learned a lot about clays over the years, well once a year basically on a shoot on my birthday and have hit consistently 65-84% on a shoot once a year. Some guns I find hard work others Ok, but once a year? I do not give two hoots to the esthetic of a gun personally and have had so many people say to me "Oh" you have to have so so and so so. Crap really as they have been shooting for years on end and manage maybe a 65-70% hit rate. Either you can or you can't. I want to improve my shooting and by one or two standards alone will not be looking at the engraving on the gun to improve my shot or the standard of the wood! Spend as much money as you wish on a gun depending on your finances but at the end of the day a really decent looking gun does not make you a decent shooter!
@fullchoke014 жыл бұрын
Over unders heritage goes hand in hand with engraving/wood quality, he is simply explaining what you get, at end of day be it 500 or 15000 you are paying for 2 steel tubes and some wood so some detail is nice, but that leads to engineering and material quality, you may shoot fine with that ata but buy a browning or the likes and you will shoot fine for several lifetimes. The turkish range are 5 year lifespan guns.
@clive15394 жыл бұрын
As someone who likes engraving I think it’s a missed opportunity, all that available real estate ...... Still plenty of modern guns have gone minimalist or black.... This is neither But probably as you say for a few hundred quid should you complain.
