17:00-Why throw nuclear waste in the sun when most of the fissile waste can be breed into fissionable material and use it? After a breeder or thorium reactor gets through with it, there'll be miniscule quantity of waste left. SETI should probably consult engineers more often and ask them about searching for signs of extraterrestial tech.

i agree that seti needs more funding but i also think that a study of the real ufo phenomena is also needed and nasa need most of the tax payers money to resaerch intersteller travel.
