Thank you all for your kind comments. It really means a lot to me. I have a stressful full time job that I am grateful for but brings little enjoyment. I design and 3D print at home as an escape and a hobby and it brings me great joy that this community likes my work. Thanks again for all your support and also for Jon who does so much for our community and I could not do what I do without him. A side note. PLEASE note that the replacement joystick sets works on the CX78+ Gamepad with the corded DB9 connector. As I do not have the new wireless controller (on preorder) I cannot confirm it will work on the new one yet. Thanks again, Paul.

what a great idea by Paul - amazing amount of thought has gone into this add-on for the joystick. great video Jon, helpfully explains all we need to know and see the benefits. Now all I need to do is buy a retro Atari system and CX-78 game pad before I order my joystick upgrade kit!

I just got the GSP paddle wheel upgrade from Paul. Improved gameplay for me and I love it. When I get the 7800+ later this year I'll be sure to return to his Etsy store.

I have been using a real CX-78 JoyPad for years, and I have always liked the thumbstick. Though for certain games, like Donkey Kong, I have to remove the stick.

I tried 3-D printing a replacement for mine, but the resolution on my printer was just not enough to get those threads right. That being said, what I really wanted all along is a flat piece that can screw in and simply cover the hole on the D-Pad so I can use it without feeling like my thumb’s getting sucked in.
