Thanks to anyone who ends up watching the review I included the full list of games for this collection in the description. I did see a few lists out there and the actual list is different then those. Like I said in the review a lot of the draw for this is going to be how nostalgic you are for the atari 2600 and if these games in particular peak your interest which I honestly think they didn't do the best job of putting together a great list.

I got this on Steam. You have the option of using the mouse to control the trackball games like Centipede, and dial-controlled games, like Breakout. It's pretty sweet! I would love it if they collaborated Activision and came out with their 2600 library as DLC. River Raid!

I'd recommend getting Atari Vault for the pc. It has everything these two volumes have for half the price of the two. It even has a Linux version. Splitting these up into two volumes was kind of a crap move.

The only reason you wouldn't have the comics was if you got the games second-hand or your mom threw them out in the garbage. I would love going through the comics when not playing.

I agree with you tempest was my favorite when I was little I used to play it on the computer. I can't believe slot machine is on there thats a weird choice. I would not expect a comic very nice. its missing a few of the famous atari 2600 games for it to be definitive but still pretty good. I would of added kaboom, pitfall games, river raid, and H.E.R.O. for starters.

I've purchased similar collections in the past -- most recently, one for PS3. The one thing I've found negative, though, is that I *do* miss those original controls for some of the games. That old school Atari 2600 controller -- the ol' "thumbripper" -- just seemed to fit these games better. In any event, this looks like a decent collection that is priced fairly, so I might give it a look. Online play would have been amazing, though. What a missed opportunity. Also, is it just me, or are Activision titles kinda completely skipped over here? It would have been nice to have had some of those, particularly Pitfall, Pitfall 2, and Spider Fighter.

The Atari 2600 was before my time. I started with the Nes in 1985 and Master System in 1986. I did not become a hardcore gamer until 1989 when I got my Sega Genesis. This compilation lacks Berzerk or Zenophobe so I will skip it. If they do release a compilation with those two in their arcade form I will buy in an instant.

+batswagyolo11 no it doesn't the full list is in my description I typed it myself with the game open to make sure i got them all. The trailers ate misleading because they are doing multiple volumes and I think the trier just puts games from the other volume in it.

Hmm these games are TOO OLD I mean I can still really enjoy ps2 games in 2020 and some PS1 era games are still fun but generally these really old games are boring to me because theyre too basic 😬 I grew up with ps1/ps2 though maybe if I were older and grew up with these ...early 80s? games id enjoy playing them today idk. Still like pac man at least lol. Would be good to get some the best ps / ps2 games put on a disc and released for the ps4 though.

Well what the ps1 and ps2 are to you is what Atari was for us who grew up in that time... We played them when there were no other options just Atari back then people would come over to play with you while others waited for there turn.. The memories are priceless
