Worth mentioning that the DS4 trackpad does a pretty good impression of a trackball. Even has some momentum so a flick will send your player across the screen. Works well as a paddle in Pong and Warlords etc. Nice attention to detail.

Surprisingly I've enjoyed both vol 1 & vol 2 a lot and I never played much Atari! So getting to try a lot of these games for the first time was fun. It would be cool if we eventually got an Atari Flashback collection volume 3 with 50-55 more games including games like Space Invaders , Frogger some of the more well known titles ect ect , maybe throw in a few cheesy games like Halloween & Texas Chainsaw massacre instead of stuff like basic math. X)

Absolutely Love Crystal Castles ! Always have. Asteroids and Joust are great too ! Cartridges were 13.99 in the mid 80's. So if you look at it that way you're getting your money's worth. Keep in mind this was primo of it's time.

Have both and they are great. Just wish they could put Defender on. Maybe next volume. I wish they would come out with Activision classics. I WOULD BUY THAT IN A SECOND !

Glad you did these reviews. Almost bought both games, but in my opinion, Crystal Castles just wouldn't be worth me spending $20-$40 on. Sadly, that would've been my only reason for buying these games. I think probably already spent that amount at the arcade growing up, not worth doing it again. Definitely lacked in the titles dept, for sure. Thank you for doing these vidz.

Seems like no matter the format, whenever Atari releases these flashback games, they never include the classics like Pit-Fall and Jungle Hunt. Or even how about some Mrs Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, or Donkey Kong Jr??? I had all of those games on Atari... Krull was another classic on the 2600... I could go on and on...

MJBB373 A lot of those games are owned by other companies. It would be really hard for Atari to obtain licensing deals for each of those games as they would have to get companies such as Activision, Namco, Nintendo etc to agree to give Atari permission to release the Atari 2600 versions of their games.

Great video that's cool there is online too bad you couldn't get an online game going. like many I love asteroids and breakout. I also think this would be the volume I would pick up if I had to pick between the 2. most lol game to me Basic Math I mean really... hah. I hope other classic games collection discs come out in the future and I look forward to hearing about em from you.

Question.. Ive been reading reviews online saying the games list is reversed meaning Vol 1 games are actually on volume 2 etc.. So did you download from PSN or do you have the disc. And if you did download are the games still reversed? I really want the football games but I don't want to buy the wrong volume through PSN.

+Ray Harris download or disc the games are the same per volume. I have the complete list for each in the description for each review I did. The issue is sites got the list months ago but never got a updated one for their sites once atari decided to switch them up.

I'm not sure if these following games are on either Volume, but it seems like every Atari related collection game that comes out (even those Atari Flashback plug & play consoles) leaves out some of my childhood favorites. Such as Dig Dug, Kangaroo, Phoenix, Popeye, Sky Skipper, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros., Q-Bert, (Frogger?), and so on. Probably all for copyright/trademark reasons. At least my # 1 childhood favorite is on most collections (Adventure). Sadly, as much as I loved the Atari 2600 back in the day, I just can't tolerate these games in this day and age. I get bored in a few minutes. I only buy these for the nostalgia.

The trophy list for Volume 2 is absolutely ridiculous. You have to be really good to even stand a chance at some of those trophies. I would say in ways it is more difficult than Super Meat Boy.

CornshaqGaming Yup it's very fast. They should make an Atari 5200, 7800, and jaguar collection for PS4/XB1 but I doubt anyone would buy it especially the jaguar collection.
