KFXE is my home airport. To anyone that flies into the airport, know that their usual shtick is “Best forward speed” because of the amount of training aircraft in the pattern. And the midday controllers are normally....always in a “difficult” mood. Saw your aircraft on the day you were leaving Greg!! Happy to see you in the Florida area so often!

I spent many years bouncing around in Barons, PA31s, King Airs and Metroliners in hot sub-tropical Queensland. I loved every minute and every overheated, dehydrated, puking pax.

The "wake turbulence caution" was for the King Air behind him. The fact that he misinterpreted the call was due to how busy how he was in the cockpit. ATC changed the approach three times.

I'm not a pilot and have no experience but I'm breaking down the video and at 10:28 the controller gives you a attitude that u already know 10000..you reach for the switch to change flight level but you know it's already set..so you grabbed the throttle and controls...fly the plane ..basics flight school...to you it was routine ..to me it was AWESOME..thank you sir for the great content

Hi Greg, first of all, I have to say that you have a beautiful airplane, so pretty and clean. Second, what you do has to be one of the most incredibly difficult things I've ever tried to follow and understand. How you keep up with the chatter from the ATC, plus keep putting in all of the changes and more numbers then calculate more numbers as well as listening to the other traffic and then they want you to make more changes goes way beyond anything I could comprehend. Hats off to you, and then some more hats because you deserve it. You are a genius.

Hi Greg, thanks for your relaxing videos, and your partition in the Air Force, helping to keep the world peace. I was in the Royal Air Force 1967 to 72. I was not academically qualified to pilot an aircraft, so I went on the water instead. I did my service on a high speed rescue launch. Trained a lot of pilots how to survive in the cold waters. They sure learned quickly, to get out of the chute and into a dinghy..... or suffer hypothermia. Thanks again for your video's, I sure do like taking trips with you.

I learned to fly at FXE back when 9 was 8 busy airport lots of flight training a trip to Naples was always a fun lunch run.Although a 172 was a little slower than your ride we did get a little better mileage.

Been following for a couple years now, your camera and general production skills have become first class, Greg. I have never seen 0GM head for the sky like she did in that take off. Wow. Any hot rodder worth his salt has to grin like crazy watching that sequence. I backed it up a couple times, to hear the V speeds and watch the take off. LOL. As for the runway "who's on first" deal, "not feeling the love" was about as nice as I think you could put it. Don't give ya a lotta faith in the program, that is for sure. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.

Man you've got me remembering my time as an A-shopper at Kunsan AB and finally Luke AFB back 85'- 89'. Loved working on the F-16. It was easy to troubleshoot with the FCNP codes and decoder cheat sheet provided by GD. Those IP's were awesome pilots, as well as human beings. Thanks for your service.

I flew in on an Air Force lear jet from Tinker AFB, OK to Randolph AFB, TX and it was a nice flight and that was the only time I flew in a jet that size. Normally I would fly on a C-130, C-141, or C-5 aircraft across country, but I was hitching a ride to try to get to the West Coast which I did after catching a DC-9 Navy bird out of Kelly Field to Travis AFB, CA. The pilot and co-pilot was great and handled that jet in the dark like it was nothing.

Your indecisive ATC reminds me of an IFR flight when I was at the RCAF pilot school. ATC changes the runway twice. Pre-FMS days so helmet fire ensues changing TACAN/VOR approaches while still trying to fly the jet/keep air picture. Instructor chuckles all the way down. Noticed you have MMD overlay on the Jepp charts on the MFD… NICE. Thanks for sharing.
