ATC: Steampunk Butterflies

A quick set of vintage steampunk butterflies, made with Distress Ink, tissue paper and brass cogs & gears!

Instructions:
Stamp the back first with your ATC stamp and after that, cover the whole ATC with tissue paper. Distress the edges with Distress Ink. Find 3 similair images and distress them as well. Find a bigger scrap of paper, distress it and attach the image with a paperclip. Attach it to the ATC with glue. Use some nice stamps and add a lace trim. Add the cogs & word stickers or other embellishments and you're done!

+YourJuliet What's the idea of ATC? What do you use them for?

alonememe Hi! An ATC is an Artist Trading Card. You make them in batches of 3 (like 3, 6, 9 etc). They are little pieces of artwork and each one has an unique serial number you give them (write it on the back, that's what I used the stamp for in the beginning, along with your artist info, like email etc). Each batch should have a theme or should at least resemble the same sort of design. There are no rules (they can be made with paper, canvas or even wood!) except that they should ALWAYS be 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches. This way, you can trade them with other artists (online or offline) and they will always fit in the ATC albums people own. If you, by chance, like the work of an artist, you can try to collect as many ATC's from them. There are also ATC events online that are themed, like Halloween or whatever and you can join in and make ATC's in that theme. After the event is over, you can trade with other artists. I hope this answers your question :)
