Another great set of ATCs Shel. I love them all so wouldn't be able to choose a favourite. I am delighted I have so many ATC videos to watch during this month. Really liked all the ATC's, but the inside art and coffee ones were especially cool. I didn't know the technic with the sprays,so thank you, and using the coffee box for the card, great recycling and so cute. This coming from a coffeeholic. Great cards

Love your channel! You mentioned in one of your videos that you wondered if anyone binge watches your channel. I do! I've been watching at home but I have also been watching at work when I'm doing a task that requires less focus. You're voice over is so descriptive that I can listen without getting bored and glance over to my other screen to see your progress. I push that like button when I feel like I need to watch you work more closely at home. Your work is beautiful and I have learned so much about the products out there these days for mixed media. Why Shel, I never thunk to use sprays over black paint anf stencil over with white paint Brilliant idea for dealing with those sprays that always seep through paint! I especially love how that ATC turned out! Love all the cards and think the frogy is cute. So, sumbuddy needs readers, well, join the club of "outsiders," who have to use them when fussy cutting..., and when trying to read the labels on small containers. Are you home from your fabulous trip to Hawaii? So cool, you and Mom have these travels together! I've loved all the ATC's! You can print out a swatch sheet right on the Spectrum Noir website. It's hexagons and it's already labeled with number/letter combinations. I use my swatch sheet all the time!

Great cards again Shel, lovely job. If you go on to the crafters companion website you'll be able to print off a blank chart of the spectrum noir pens, then fill in the blanks with all the colours you have. It makes more sense then. X 😀

Love all of them ! IRL I'm scared by 🐸 but yours 😍. On Spectrum Noir website you can get a blank color chart, it's done by letters group which are color group. With that, you will get it in no time 😀

Very cute ATCs Shel. TFS! The SN marker website has a color chart that I used to swatch my markers out on. The chart also helps you understand the naming system. There is some weirdness with the naming in that the numbers are supposed to go from light to dark, light numbers are low #s & darker are higher #s but that isn't always the case. But for the most part that works.

I was going to say the same as Ash, but also wanted to add that crafter companion have a HUGE sale on the two new sets (vintage has some great purples)! I have these markers and have found if you start light and work your way to the darker color works best! The swatch chart is an absolute MUST!Thanks for the videos you have been one of my favorite inspirations and you are a fellow Arizonan!

This is great! I love the stencil on the second one! Oh, and the Dylusions black paint is the only thing I have found that does not allow bleed through of Dylusions ink when placed on top. I need to use my glimmer mist more!

Ah, a Facebook holdout. Good for you! I only use it for posting art stuff and I try to avoid reading all the junk. It is good for sharing photos of art and maybe an occasional cute animal video LOL Hopefully your husband can help you take photos of your ATCs you make with a phone camera or something and then post them in the group!

Shel, is this group ongoing forever? I ask because, right now (17 June 2017), I am participating in the ICAD 2017 challenge. I am really getting in the habit of doing art every day, so I would like to participate in something like ICAD on an ongoing basis. I have never made ATC's, but I am up for the game.

This challenge is finished at the end of June...but please do not stop doing art every day! The idea of these challenges is to develop your habit of doing art. The more you do the better your skills become..the more you love what you are doing ...the more you do! The world needs more creativity and color in it! I will be offering a art journaling every day challenge coming in November I think...and maybe something in between..who knows..keep watching :)

when you buy the 24 pen sets there aren't all the colors they sell certain color groups separately. Still cheaper than copics.

Well that would explain the lack of purple...but yes..cheaper! I have printed the chart now from their website and will swatch and then figure out which others I 'need' lol

They have 11 6-pen sets that fill in the gaps that you are seeing with the sets you have. I know that 3 years ago they sold for 11.95 ea 6 pen set. and you could find them just about anywhere. Now days they are harder to find and at this point in time I'm not sure where to find them except at Spectra Noir's website.

Do you prefer archival ink for your mixed media or is there any other brands like momenta

Hi Ivory :) I use archival ink brand because that is what I have...but any permanent non water reactive will do. Momento is great and I have their tuxedo black pad. The only idea is that with mixed media you are layering and layering and if you use a water soluble ink in that process you will have to take extra care with it moving around and muddying up your piece.
