Do you need to switch the fluid line also from Macro to Micro .

I was wondering the same thing. We always use micro for the smaller patients.

Not necessarily. Heska is always ml/hr. If set your fluid rate by eye, without the use of an IVAC pump (using the wheel on the line) for your ml/hr rate, you’d need to know that Macro venoset drops are bigger at 15gtt/ml and Micro is smaller drops at 60gtt/ml. (Then calculate using 60 sec/1 min, 60 min/1 hour and 15gtt/ml or 60gtt/ml to set mls/hr) but you knew that. 😺🤘🏻
