Jongho’s whole job is Main Vocalist. Those lines and the distance between him and the others are completely deserved. Everyone else either has a combination of either vocals/rap/dance/performance time where they get to shine. It’s easy to forget the other elements where idol’s get to stand out when just looking at numbers on a line distribution.

I see everyone complaining about Jongho being in first place, but that's where he should be since he's the MAIN VOCALIST. His voice is his biggest strength and where he shines the most. While the rest of the members have fewer lines, they all get more screen time in the MVs, they all dance or have been in the center position, which Jongho doesn’t get because he's focused on singing, not dancing, not being the center, not hogging the camera-just singing. And I think that's more than enough reason why he should always have the most lines in every damn album.

Just reading the comments, it’s sad to see how undermined Seonghwa and Yunho are as vocalists. It’s not just about having a unique voice, I think members get the lines that they will best stand out in and there’s always going to be some disparity in the line distribution. It’s about making the song sound as good as possible and not give solo stans the pleasure to see their bias get the most lines. People need to move on. SMH Also, what’s with Yeosang solo stans claiming he’s the best vocalist and apparently a rapper now? Yeosang is getting the time to shine now, as he deserves. Gold means that the distribution is very fair when the variation is between 0%-9.9%. Green means that the distribution is fair when the variation is between 10%-30%. Yellow means that the distribution is normal when the distribution is between 30.1%-60%. Orange is means that the distribution is unfair when the variation is between 60.1%-94.9%. Red means that the distribution is very unfair when the variation is 95% or more.

their line distributions have gotten "fairer" as the members improved. In Treasure era (especially the first two) it was really only San and Jongho that had the vocal strength to truly carry a chorus. Woosang's voices were nice to hear but very much underdeveloped (they were more dancer members than vocal members when they debuted). Seonghwa and Yunho were vocally in-between San and Woosang. During Fever you see a huge improvement in Seonghwa and Yunho's vocals which is why they started getting a lot more lines. Woosang were finally starting to really get in their singing bag and were given more lines but it still was barely actual chorus lines so they were still usually bottom 2 in distribution (even if instead of 3s they now got 10s+). Now you start seeing Woosang get very prominent chorus parts and while still many times bottom 2, they sometimes appear in the middle. And now as the other 4 vocal line members have drastically improved over the years (like they were good then, but they're great now. wow) you see Jongho's (and even San's) lines decreasing. I'd still say San is still a better vocalist than Seonghwa and Yunho (technique wise, not aesthetically) but you really see them getting treated vocally the same/similar when it comes to the type of lines they get now. Jongho still remains usually first or top 3 but you don't see him having over a minute in a song like he used too, even in their ballads. He now is usually only in the 40s at most. I love the continued growth because it shows how well Eden knows Ateez.

En el kpop siempre ha sido asi, el cantante principal siempre tendra más líneas. Pero como Ateez es un grupo de 8 chicos muy talentosos entiendo que cada fan quiera ver a su bias más tiempo en pantalla pero recordemos que son un grupo y cada uno aporta algo único al equipo por eso son tan geniales. Mi bias es Yunho y también pienso que merece más líneas y más partes de baile como el bailarin principal que es pero los demás miembros también son increibles y gracias al esfuerzo de todos en conjunto es que han llegado tan lejos. Por esa razón creo que deberiamos entender que su exito no se basa en uno solo si no en todos. Cada uno ha mejorado mucho desde el debut pero las canciones no duran mucho como para darles más tiempo a todos. El año pasado KQ nos sorprendio con duetos quizás después hagan algo parecido asi que sigamos apoyandolos, no importa lo poco o lo mucho que canten porque el trabajo de todos tiene la misma importancia. I thought Enhypen has very bad line distribution. Ateez has it too, even worse, much worse. Enhypen is in stuck condition: 2022-2024 (except "Bite Me" era) all albums have low digital & MV streaming. Enhypen, Treasure, Ateez are similar in line distribution and also in difficult era to rise up higher. However, Enhypen is still famous because of contents inTiktok & KZbin. Some fans has lost interest to support Enhypen, but concert tickets are always sold out. Well, concert and stage performance is like fans meeting of 7 handsome tiktokers/youtubers, not really as idols. My bias in Enhypen is #6 in line distribution for years, it must be hurt to anyone to have bias with the same condition. Keep fighting, Atiny.❤

This is how i see it, ateez was debuted with some of them still not vocally ready no matter how good their voices are. They are first and foremost a performance team. So it needs balance of singers and dancers… and thus the dancers, at the beginning, had lesser lines. Hj must have filled in so the vocalists can share lesser lines and focus on performing. Some of them were stronger at dance and that’s where they stood out more… And it’s reality.. hongjoong had longer training with their style having to work with their producers longer than everyone else.. but lately, as ateez grows, so does everyone’s talent and skills, thus more strong vocalists to give lines to.. also confidence in their talent is stronger now. Remember how seonghwa had a hard time singing pirate king?!?! nowadays, hj does his part as a rapper.. and he must be focusing more as a producer and leader… he used to cover for anyone who needs a time off (mainly mingi and jongho) and being a leader he has to be that strong back then. Now i get why hwa always say he takes care of hj coz hj takes care of everyone…

And I don't think ateez have a song that a member get a 100s then other members have like 30s not like everglow's no lie😭 that traumatized me and everytime they performed that live it looks a bit awkward cuz mia singing the whole time while the other member dances the whole time and sing 10 second max

Yeosang is officially a vocalist and a rapper now so he deserves to be at least top3-4 in line distribution in every song not to mention he's the center according to the members. I hope in the future we'll get to see kq being more fair to him 🥲

Sub vocal and sub rapper, to be 3rd or 4th that would mean being above Seonghwa, who although doesn’t have an official vocal position, is included in the vocal with Jongho and San. And he would have to be above both main rappers, its just illogical.

@@maria-hw1vq I’m including him because he, San, Jongho, and Ateez and their producers in general include him in the vocal line (atinys as well acknowledge him as an unofficial lead vocalist). The three (San, Wha, and Jongho to be clear) literally did a live and San say, “oh these are all members of the vocal line” or something along those lines. I can try and find the clip if you need.
