I read 9024 is a type of bass drum. However, if you also "dial" it, it forms the cromer design on Hongjoong's armband.

From what I understand 9024 means "90 beats per min, 2 quarter (4) notes (beats) each bar" 9024 has other meanings in numerology and Spritual but the first fits the line.

It's actually 90-2-4. So, it is the drums but they are telling you out the gate it's 90 beats per min, 2 quarter (4) notes (beats) each bar. Just a heads up on the drums coming to invade your space.

This is what I understand from reading around. So there are 4 units in pairs of 2 members -2 units are acting as distraction, maybe the one in the casino/bar too (but mingi has the 'inception' device earlier so idk if the sh00ting scene really happened, they probably used to get something important like information). Then the unit of mechanics fixing something, either that disc that projected the ship or the actual pirate ship itself, not sure. They're all acting a bit 'mad' too, just really crazy form i guess 😅 Also the moon phase changes throughout the video, and at the end there's the red moon. Accdg to what I read Atinys say, red moon is associated with time travel in their lore, so it might mean they escaped this world/dimension. Also the blue bird was in Halazia and is associated with freedom, so they're free and traveling somewhere. Back to being time traveling pirates!!

There are actually a lot of supplementary videos that explain the story better but here's the best explanation I've read to date: Ateez are pirates who were gifted that hourglass (called a chromer) which allows them to travel through time and between dimensions. At first, they are searching for treasure and having adventures, but eventually they run into these bad guys who have chains where their faces should be. The bad guys are from Dimension Z, whereas Ateez is from Dimension A which is presumably where we are as well. But there is another version of Ateez from Dimension Z called the Black Pirates (aka Halateez) who are the enemies of the no-face guys. At first Ateez teams up with Halateez to fight against the no-face guys (they are the ones in the black hats in the MVs for Answer, Say My Name, and Hala Hala). Eventually something happens and Halateez disappear (I'm not totally clear on this part) and Ateez ends up in Dimension Z instead of Halateez. What they discover is that the no-face guys are in charge of the government and they have brainwashed everyone in Dimension Z to have no emotions so that they can be controlled. Ateez sets up a subversive movement to take down the corrupt government and restore emotion to the people. To do this they use propaganda in the Guerrilla music video and chili peppers in the Bouncy music video (because apparently people can feel the burn of the spicy chilies and that helps reconnect them to feeling). They also smuggle weapons in the chilis. In this current episode (Crazy Mode mv) they need to finish taking down the government and get the heck out of Dodge. But the chromer is broken. It broke at the end of the Deja Vu music video so how are they supposed to leave? I think this is what Yunho and Wooyoung are working on in the lab. Meanwhile Jongho and Mingi break into the lounge where the high government officials do their business and start shooting things up. They other members are being rounded up by the government but they just have to wait till Jongho kills the leader and Wooyoung wraps up their plan for getting home. If you notice that in the beginning scene there is a crescent moon and in the final scene a full moon. Ateez can only travel on the full moon. In the extra scene at the end you see the full moon, but the pirate ship and presumably Ateez as well are gone even though they left the broken chromer in Dimension Z. In the song Halazia, Yeosang has a line, "little blue bird that list it's voice." I think they are using this as a metaphor for the people that lost their emotions (if you examine the other lyrics of Halazia). At the end of Crazy Form, you can clearly hear the bluebird singing as it takes to the sky. I assume this means that the bluebird found its voice and the people found their lost emotions. But without the chromer to help them travel will they be able to get back to Dimension A or will their new ship take them somewhere unexpected?

The laugh you're thinking you're hearing is Vincent Price (classic film horror actor who did the voice overs on the Thriller). I went back and listened carefully & I think you're right that they sampled it. They also moonwalk in the choreo so it makes sense to have the MJ reference.

I like how you explained that ATEEZ includes that K-pop beat/genre switch but they are adjacent to each other. It’s not as jarring as other songs I’ve heard. Sometime the genre switch is so stark I question if it’s even part of the same song.

The first scene reminds me of Guerilla backdrop and they did a van crashing through a wall in Don't Stop. And at the end, I thought the bluebird flying away with the piece of chromer in it's mouth might be a reference to the bluebird they sing about in Halazia, but damned if I know. I can barely follow the lore lol. But they used quite a few references to their other MV's in this, even the begining and ending outfits reference their previous stuff.
