Mingi was worried people will think weirdly about him because apparently, he was sick while filming this. Atinys know how sick he got at that time. But the whole video I just kept thinking, “this is how he sounds sick??” He did so great everyone did so great! Wooyoung and Yeosang improved so much with their stability, all 8 are amazing and they deserve all the praises they can get.

The leader is Hongjoong-the short rapper. He’s called “Captain” because their concept is pirates. All 8 of them are good vocalists. When Jongho missed several months due to a knee injury Hongjoong covered a lot of Jongho’s high notes (along with Wooyoung).

5:42 I think Seonghwa (all the way to the right) would be happy that you would have guessed he was part of the main rap line. He originally auditioned as a rapper, but was positioned as a vocalist (he really is so versatile). He's a good rapper, and has been getting more rap parts recently. In the last comeback, he and Hongjoong (the leader of the group and one of the main rappers; the one you said you wouldn't have guessed was a rapper) did a subunit song called MATZ, which is a heavy-hitting rap song. The "dad" comment is funny since Hongjoong (short rapper with glasses/blue shirt) is the leader/dad of the group. He's called "Captain" instead of leader because Ateez's concept is pirates. The members call him the dad of the group, and Seonghwa (far right with the tie) the mom of the group. Like, they literally call Hongjoong "Dad" and Seonghwa "Mom", and they will refer to the other members as "the kids" sometimes

The two on the far left, the lead vocal and the guy in the white shirt are actually cousins. Not like first cousins, but they are related. Choi Jongho and Choi San. The biggest joker in the group is actually the one on the other side of San, WooYoung. Who was being uncharacteristically well behaved. But San is probably the most hyperactive of the Ateez boys, followed by Yun Ho, who was third from the right. Yunho is technically the lead dancer, although Yeosang (between bolero tie guy and Woo Young), Woo Young, and San have all improved their dancing so much since debut that it’s hard to see a clear distinction of who is the best dancer anymore. Yun Ho and Mingi (blond rapper) have also been best friends since childhood. Seonghwa on the right end might be the best all rounder in Ateez. He raps, sings, and dances at a very high level. He is also the most compassionate one in the group. The guy in the middle with the bolero tie is Hongjoong, the group’s captain/composer/producer/lead rapper. That man has a crazy hard work ethic and when asked how he keeps 6 chaotic members in line (and Seonghwa) he answers, “it’s easy. Just think of them as if they were all 5 year olds.”

San has lots of water because after getting COVID twice he started to develop a node. He’s had to retrain his vocals and is okay but often drinks often. Mingi’s voice was a little extra raspy because he had a cold. Their final song had three versions-Kingdom (the one used here), Heung (the MV one), and they are currently using an orchestra version for the tour (they usually finish the night with The Real because it’s a big party song and has a creative dance break at the end). I suggest you react to your favorite title tracks from this (Answer is a must IMO, and The Real is like a live action anime). Three title tracks that are good but not on this: Halazia, Inception, and Thanxx are worth checking out as well. Their Black Cat Nero MV is amazing (they won a show with their cover) but I suggest you check out the Turbo original before watching this just to see what they did to own the cover.

They do have roles in the group, Hongjoong and Mingi are rappers, Jongho is main vocalist, and San is lead vocalist. The rest are all vocal and dancer except Seonghwa who is also a sub rapper. It is amazing how Ateez only has good songs and known to all, all are wonderful and self -astral, they are songs that give you chills listening to their voices live, which precedes in studio, jongho my dear, your vocal makes me levitate, wow. .. And Mingi was sick, so he was drinking more water, he was disrupted that his voice fails, but gave a show.Vocal kings, dance kings, performance kings. I would recommend when watching the MV's to also watch the dance practices to see how good the choreo is, and how well they dance/perform. The leader of the group is the rapper in the center in the dark blue shirt and dark jeans , we don't call him leader, we call him CAPTAIN and his name is Hongjoong. He is a rapper, producer, composer, song writer and vocalist.. an all-rounder and he is the founder of the group.

They all had a tough time containing themselves because all their songs have a lot of choreography. During Say my Name, San finally did a little snippet of the choreo. My recommendation for videos to check out would be: any of the Halloween performances of DejaVu, Halazia (the mv and a live performance), Answer and Answer-Ode to Joy, and finally a song and video I’ve been obsessed with lately: Rhythm Ta.

They all dance and are coined some of the best dancers in K-pop. Two main rappers are Hongjoong and Mingi ( tall white haired), though Seonghwa does sometimes. They have a very wide range as you can see. They are also coined one of the K-pop boy group performers. I would check out some of their live stuff, their performances are insane. Specifically their concert performances. They just were at Coachella too. Some background is that they are not from a Big 4 company in Korea. They started out from nothing and now are known for being the fourth gen group who conquered western spaces. I would also suggest checking out the Ateez Ultimate guide 2023 I think you guys would like it and you could see their personalities better I think some things would shock you. ok, so Jongho far left is the main vocalist. Next is San who is lead vocalist and main dancer. Then there is Wooyoung is also main dancer and vocalist. In the middle is Yeosong, he is their visual, lead singer (very deep voicer), and lead dancer. Then there's Hongjoong who is the "Captain" or leader of the group and main rapper - he also dances of course and produces/composes some of Ateez's songs and writes lyrics.. Next to Hongjoong is Yuhno who is the main dancer of the group and has always been the main dancer. Yuhno also is a very versatile vocalist. Then, with the blonde hair is Mingi.... Mingi is also the main rapper, writes lyrics and is a dancer. And finally, Seongwha who is a vocalist, dancer, visual, and performer. He can also rap. Hope this helps :) Truthfully, they're all aces as they all can do everything. Mingi can't sing as well as the others due his limited range but he CAN sing. :)

I will never get over Junghos vocals. And the fact that its all live to is even crazier. Out of all the groups/kbands that i listen to he's probably one of my top 3 favorite vocalists and im not even fully into Ateez yet. San, Wooyoung, and the one on the very far right (Yeonghwa i believe his name is however thats probably wrong) are definitely in my top 10 as well. Honestly everyone in Ateez are so talented its not even funny.

6:06 They all are crazy talented and there is a line somewhere, but they don't always act up to it. They all are able to rap (beside Yeosang the 4th from the left, or we just never heard him) even though they don't show it in their songs. Jongho (the one in the left) is their main singer and is usually responsible for the harmonys and high tones and I bet he is able to sing a opera if he wanted to. Their dancing is top! There are some dancers of the group, they could dance vor hours and we wouldn't be able to take our eyes away from this art, but they all have their unique dance styles in their choreography as well. I don't know if they official have a visual (maybe Yeosang), but look at them 🤷🏼‍♀️ Their performances are breath taking 😅 Last but not least their leader is called captain because they are a crew of 8 pirates and it's Hongjoong the 4th from the right. They have some positions in the crew as well. Wooyoung (3rd from the left) is for example the chef of the crew. Even though there might be positions there are very close when it comes to age as well as their friendship. They are born 98(2), 99(5) and 00(1). There where two friendships in this group before they even went to this company and in every video we can see that they are a funny family. The oldest once are called mom and dad sometimes 😂😂😂 (the captain is the second oldest. Seonghwa at the right is the oldest) Hongjoong and Mingi are part of the writing team for the songs and at least Hongjoong also produces... Mingi has writen view deep songs on his own (it's worth checking it out) I'm still very new to their group and Kpop in general, but they made me fall in love with them because of the kindness and love from the artists as well as the company. (And because they are incredible funny 😅😂)
