ATEEZ are generally chaotic asf. Also, whenever a member said ‘this is what we call style’ and ‘the dance starts now’ they were actually speaking satoori or a specific Korean dialect of where they came from. Even though this MV just gives off anime vibes the entire time, The Real is actually a song about remaining kind and humble the more you mature and grow successful. Looking forward to more ATEEZ from y’all! They are such talented underdogs in such a saturated market.

“it’s clear that ateez have something that most 4th gen groups do not. a sense of humour” is something that was written about them in the earlier part of their career and i really believe this mv and song is the epitome of what they’re about. they mention in the song how they’re always humble and kind and they let their dancing speak for their talent. you can tell that they really enjoy performing, in every performance they give their all so be sure to check out their live performances too. i personally love their performance “From the Wonderland” which they performed on a competition show called Kingdom. But yeah thank you for the reaction!!

ateez are actually under kq entertainment and have always been under it. some of the members back during predebut appeared in mixnine a survival show that was hosted BY yg entertainment which might be why you associate them with yg. just felt like mentioning that since it doesn't seem like anyone has commented about it !! /nm

They have so many good songs. Ateez has a no skip discography. But their performances on Kingdom:Legendary war were amazing, especially the Kingdom versions of Wonderland and Answer are worth watching. Also the performance of Love Poem from Kingdom Legendary war, performed by the main vocalist from Ateez (Jongho, I my opinion the most talented out of all the very talented male vocalists from generation 4 kpop), the main vocalist from Stray Kids (Seungmin), and the main vocalist from BtoB (Eun Kwang). That song was the show stopper for the entire season of Kingdom Legendary War.

from my own experience and from what i've heard from other people, this music video is actually based off of volcano high (an older korean martial arts movie that was eventually adapted with american rappers) and the song itself is about being humble and kind the more popular you get to set a good example and to prosper. it's a really good message and i love seeing the callbacks to volcano high in the video. thank you so much for reacting!

The song: 멋 is a Korean word without a direct English equivalent--real, style, and cool are attempts to catch the meaning, but it has an underlying idea of honor, so it's about how what's really cool/stylish is to be humble, respectful*, and kind. *Bowing is one way Koreans show respect which is why there was a lot of bowing and sayings like lower your head and bend down as you mature. Fun fact: Korean has multiple dialects with the Seoul dialect being the standard (it's what Korean language learners are taught). In the song when the music stops, the member speaks in his dialect (most Ateez members are from the countryside but have been trained to speak Seoul dialect in their content), kind of like if someone spoke with a southern drawl and the next person spoke with a Jersey accent. The video: Appears to be based on Volcano High, a popular Korean movie in 2001 about a transfer student with special powers who ends up at a school with warring factions who are trying to find a book of power. Ateez's twist--The book they find when they put their powers together is essentially a book of morality, a book about 멋. (If you want more details watch Form of Therapy's reaction). FYI- YG Entertainment & KQ Entertainment are not connected in ANY way. KQ Entertainment is considered a small company in the K-Pop world. They are the brother company to Seven Seasons that has B Block. Thanks for the react. Ateez are not from a big label company nor associated with one in any way. They're a small label group under KQ Entertainment. Now in the West, they are signed to RCA records as there was a bidding war with the major U.S. labels to sign them. A easy way to remember Ateez is it's like 80s. I think you guys would love their song Win. I like to watch Win on KBS because they show an overhead shot when Ateez line up then pan out . There is also Win video on KQ which was their live performance of it from their Seoul concert before their tour was cancelled when covid first hit. I also recommend Hala Hala full performance and Hala Hala 3D teaser. Yes ATEEZ! Welcome to the dark side boys but also the light side... You'll see what I mean the more you react to them. All their songs give you a whole new feeling. I was so amazed by them and their powerful stage presence and striking vocals. Their storyline is complicated but so unique. They were known as the Pirates of Kpop at the beginning. That's what drew me in. Now, it's a little bit of a different storyline and I'm not sure how to explain it. So, I'll let someone else do the honors of that. But yeah ATEEZ members are comedians but at the same time can be so fierce! Their versatility is crazy. Also, could ya'll check out these songs too from this other group known as NCT? They are special, amazing, talented, dorky, lovable guys - you will definitely fall in love with them. Enjoying watching your K-pop journey, it's one hell of a ride! There are so many wonderful artists, I feel a lot of people get stuck with one but why miss out.
