Thanks for reacting. First, I'll mention that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are friends with Stray Kids, Bang Chan in particular. It is so cute to watch Ryan and Bang Chan fanboy over each other, disagreeing on who was more honored (Bang Chan stoked to have Ryan and Hugh appear in the MV, and Ryan being excited to be able to be a part of it at all----and Ryan claims Marvel had no idea that he did this beforehand). This video was mostly shot on location in New York City. You should check out the making-of video... very interesting. As I know others have told you in comments about other reactions, they are very fond of word play and double meaning. Ryan went through several takes of different jokes and this was the version they went with. I like that he asked how long they'd been there and they said for awhile. I saw this as a comment on all the people just now discovering Stray Kids and that they are not new, they've been here awhile now. 😁

Check out the making of video, all shot on location in New York, no sets, no green screens. No one is sure if any money changed hands - mutual backscratch between friends for promoting both parties. There is an interview for the release of the MV, between Bang Chan, Felix and Ryan, Hugh, it's funny and gives you a glimpse of 2 of the Stray Kids.

I will say that the video never calls them Deadpool or wolverine.... Also they never have mask on, so not in costume.... Ryan said he didn't tell Disney/ Marvel about this

SKZ have behind the scenes for most of their m/vs and are known for as many real locations and practical effects as they can manage in a shoot. Leader Bang Chan and Ryan have been friends online since 2021 when a Stay shared a fan edit of SKZ during Kingdom: Legendary War. They did a Deadpool themed stage of Blackpink's Dudududu which got Ryan's attention. They've been mutuals since then and finally got to meet up in person when SKZ were filming the M/V in NYC. Ryan mentioned in an interview that he tried to get SKZ in the new Deadpool movie, but there were too many scheduling conflicts. He did, however, get SKZ on the soundtrack. They wrote a song called "Slash" specifically for Deadpool. You can check out an interview with Chan and Felix (two Aussie members of SKZ) with Ryan and Hugh. Ryan also has his company, Maximum Effort, make a fan edit every year for Chan's birthday. They are hysterical. SKZ have done quite a few soundtracks for major shows in the US, Japan, and Korea. They did the opening and closing credit songs for Season 1 and 2 of the anime Tower of God (songs Top, Slump, Night, and Falling Up). They did an OST for the K-Drama Extraordinary You (song Neverending Story), the Japanese drama RE:Revenge (song Why?), the K-webseries Pop Out Boy (song Hello Stranger), and most recently season 2 of ARCANE (song Come Play featuring Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko and guitarist Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine). Seungmin, SKZ's "main vocalist" (they don't have official roles in their group but he is colloquially referred to as such) has also done solo OST work for Kdramas and webtoons. In 2025, Felix will be featuring on season 2 opening of Solo Leveling with the iconic Japanese singer LiSA, who is known for anime openings. SKZ and LiSA collaborated on a song called Social Path back in 2023. SKZ have several self-proclaimed otakus in their group. They make a lot of anime and marvel references in their music. The song Topline heavily pulls from One Piece while their newest Japanese track, Saiyan, pulls from Dragon Ball. Next month, they are dropping a new album with each member having a solo song. Changbin's song, Ultra, heavily pulls from the Hulk.

RE: Chk Chk Boom Because of the appearance of Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in the Chk Chk Boom music video, some people thought the song was in the Deadpool movie. Stray Kids have actually been friends with RR and HJ for a few years. But other than the two of them appearing in the M/V, the song Chk Chk Boom is not related to the Deadpool movie at all. BUT....... Stray Kids (actually, 3Racha, the three members who do most of the writing and production for the group) DID actually write an original song for the official Deadpool and Wolverine soundtrack. It's called SLASH. Unfortunately, there's no M/V for SLASH, but here's a lyrics video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpnNZZmBZ5mdpK8

They didn't write SLASH specially for D&W, Chris said in an interview that Ryan asked if they had a song he could use in the film and Chris said he had a demo sitting in his laptop that he wrote with a Deadpool theme a while ago 🙂

@@SKZSALLIE Hmmmm ok. I read a different version that said 3Racha had the song ready and sent it to Ryan saying they thought it might be a good fit for his next Deadpool movie.

@@SKZSALLIE But either way, it's awesome that one of their songs was included in the official soundtrack. I just wish it had been more prominent in the movie. Another cool thing - SLASH has been nominated for the BEST OST category for the 2024 Asian Pop Music Awards. Not sure when the winners will be announced.

They did take inspiration from reggaeton for this song. So, you're right on the money thinking it has a bit of a latin feel. They do use green screens and effects in their videos but they also have a ton of actual stuff. They were on location in NYC for this video and blocked off different locations to film. In S-Class, the fire pillars and fireworks in the sceens are real. As mentioned in other comments, you can watch the making of the mv. Since you really liked Megaverse and S-Class, I would say check out JJAM for a similar vibe. You mentioned in a previous video that a lot of the members can rap and they pretty much all can even though they focus on their own specialties. One extra unique thing for SKZ is that their rappers can sing really well. So well that they sent their two main rappers (Changbin and Han) to the Masked Singer show before they sent their vocalists (Seungmin and I.N). Lose My Breathe (Stray Kids live vers) and Neverending Story are both great examples. Also, Volcano (Han) and Because (Changbin/Felix) are both immaculate songs with their rappers showing off vocals. Looking forward to more reactions!!!

Stray Kids is a self-producing group who was not initially made by JYP entertainment. Their leader Bang Chan handpicked all the members, created their logo, and produced all of their songs. That's one thing unique about this group! Stray Kids will release their highly anticipated album "HOP", with their new title track "Walkin on Water", out December 13, 2024! The album will consist of Stray Kids-only genre alongside members' self-produced solo songs! Tune in!

Giant is awesome! I did react to it, but unfortunately it was one of my first videos and I didn't like how it came out so I scrapped it. My apologies! But there's always a live version I could react to in the future when I start doing live stuff since I've never heard it live!
