The Wave stages are always so beautiful. So bright and well lit, we really get to see him shine! Hongjoong's hard work to be the performer he is has not been lost. He always draws my eye, whether for his expressions, his voice, or the energy he brings to the choreo. He understands the assignment every time. So much swag. And to be such a sweetheart and safe place for fans off screen/stage? The best. He's such a good Captain. The December Gayo Dajeon performance has my FAVORITE costumes for all of them. Modern hanbok's are my FAVORITE.

Hongjoong in my opinion has the best stage presence and that’s why he is my bias. His charisma is unreal.

As if he isn’t charismatic enough, he understands how to make eye contact with the cameras. The fancams you just watched were mostly by the staff (to capture the members with great audio and video quality) so the members are expected to look at them. But there is a channel called MiniHong and the uploader is someone who attended many of ateez shows, and she/he recorded a lot of hongjoong fancams so many that hongjoong began to notice him/her. You can watch the videos from that channel and see in many of them hongjoong looks straight at the camera which I admire a lot. Although many of these videos were made during small ateez events where there is a small audience, there was an ateez performance in a very large stage with a large audience but guess what, hongjoong managed to spot this person. If you search for minihong 200104 hongjoong answer and wonderland you will see hongjoong making eye contact with this person even though this was a large event that it would be very difficult to look at the audience yet he did. Other hongjoong fancams that I really loved from this channel is 200112 Hongjoong answer (really recommend it) and 190224 Hongjoong say my name. Even if your reaction would be off camera I really think they’re worth watching as these little things he does such as recognizing his fan and deciding to make eye contact with an audience member’s fancam while still performing to everyone and to the main stage camera will make you see how Hongjoong does care about his fans and is a natural performer even when he is dancing in the back or not not singing he always makes great facial expressions that conveys the lyrics. Normally fancams show you members from head to toe yet hongjoong is still captivating to watch even when the fancam is focused on his face. That intro to The Real was the first time they had shown to the world and it honestly sent atiny into afrenzy online, including myself hahahaha. It was honestly the first time I kept looking at Hongjoong's part a lot of times and admitting he's charismatic after being in denial for a while. The intro so iconic that Ateez has been using this intro in their concert tour as well. oh regarding Precious and Treasure. If you listen to songs back to back, you'll get a whole appreciation of how the song carried on to the next. Precious and Precious (Overture) and Treasure to be specific. They've been doing these hints a lot for the other songs so it's often amazing when you discover it and appreciate how all the songs are just as connected as their storyline and their lore. another example is Wave, Turbulence and Fever. And to answer if you have listened to Precious before, yes you did. You heard it before when you watched the Ateez concert fancams.

I loved this video, our captain is an amazing artist, he is excellent in dancing, rapping, vocals, facial expressions and of course a great composer, we know how exceptional Hongjoong is as the leader of this amazing group and as natural as his spirit is leadership in it, we often know that exercising this position within the group is difficult because there will be times when you have to be bitter even against your own will, Hongjoong has already confessed to us, but at the same time, these interactions between them that really makes us question if Hong is not the maknae of the group? 🤔🤣how not to love Kim Hongjoong?🥰❤

one of ateez's greatest strengths if not their biggest strength is their ability to Perform! like wow before ateez i was very selective of the fancams i watched bcause i didnt really see a point in watching fancams when i already have the stage performance yknow and i only made exceptions for bts and a couple other groups but for ateez i truly enjoy watching their fancams. i find so much joy n excitement watching their performances??? and as someone who really cant sit still without fidgeting a lot, i somehow manage to marathon/binge watch hours of their fancams 🥺 personally my favourite fancams to watch are hongjoong's!!! i know everyone says he really befits his title as 1/3 of the demon line but sometimes it still shocks me how good of a performer he is! even when he isnt in the center even when it's not his part even when the camera isnt on him he performs so well especially his facial expressions and his energy is just contagious!!! it also upsets n saddens me how much antis give them hate for ""overperforming"" when there isnt such a thing??? they love to hate on atz for ""doing too much"" and clowning their facial expressions and while im not a dancer, i find that most if not all professional dancers express themselves in different ways through their performances including facial expressions a lot to engage their audience and? isnt that what makes a good performance? its also pretty heartbreaking to know how aware ateez are of these hate comments they've addressed it a couple of times but the ones i remember the most are from a vlive that yunho and seonghwa did together and they said they were aware that some people found their expressions n actions on stage too exaggerated or ""too much"" especially at the start of their career and rhey tried to tone it down a little but seonghwa said je just felt that the stage wasnt complete or they werent as satisfied with their performances after :( and also i think it was hongjoong who said that he was worried about how people would perceive their performances bc they tend to get too immersed and they would "roll their eyes back or use their tongues or stare too intensely into a camera" it's just :( heartbreaking to see all of that when ateez are 8 passionate individuals with a genuine love for performing and for music yknow T__T i try not to entertain hate tweets too much but it's just upsetting to see how they get crap for doing their best. but i think as an atiny i am just so proud to tell anyone who would listen that i love and adore these individuals and how they make me feel with their stages and their music! ALSO the tyrant hongjoong vid wndjsjd so one of his nicknames is 폭중 which was derived from the word 폭충 which is like b0mb/shell but it was used to describe him bc he has this weird humour thing where he would ""act out"" or tease the members mercilessly or be difficult on purpose as a form of new humour? and since the end of 2020 they've started calling him 폭중 whenever he acts up like getting mad at the members jokingly and it's just a really cute nickname 🥺

The costuming on the 12/25 The Real performance is one of my favorites. I love black with leather, sheer and gold accents. It makes them look edgy and elegant at the same time. Plus they are all handsome. It makes you want to throw up because they're so beautiful. LOL Also, I actually really love Precious. The instrumental on this song is so good to me. By the way, I love the idea that you will do dedicated vids for each member. Also, they should just have Ateez featured in a vampire movie. I can't die because of their powerful performances. At 22:16, no matter how many times I watched their "Precious" performances, I know that whenever Hongjoong yells: "Hands up" I have to be prepared for an upcoming heart attack. Mingi and the other members have to calm down or they will be imprisoned for killing their fans with amazing performances. Also, Jongho's line: "Can you feel it?" needs to change into " You will feel it !!!! ".

Just wondering if you're still going to watch performances for some of these as a whole for ones you haven't seen before? Because the choreo for fever is actually really fitting to the lyrics, I've got a major soft spot for it (I rec the comeback showcase performance of it). Their performances change over time too, they add, subtract, and alter things as their characters go along the timeframe of promoting/performing so you'll never get sick of watching something more than once. If you're not going to, it's totally cool I just need to spread my fever as number 1 beside agenda lmao. I'm so happy you found some good crack vids haha. Hongjoong was my first bias in Ateez, his presence was everything that made me fall for them (okay and Wooyoung in say my name era 🙄 lol) his facial expressions and how fluid he is dancing is so pleasing to watch.

Hi Mel! I’ve never commented but I really love all of your videos. I’m a staytiny and it’s amazing to see you falling in love with them too. I’ve recently been getting into enhypen and i don’t know if you’ve looked into them at all but if you ever have the time I’d love to see your reaction. They’re a group of amazing dancers and I think it would interest you that one of the members was also a professional figure skater which is also amazing to watch. I’m still a baby engene so it’s hard to tell you what you could watch but I would recommend their songs given-taken, polaroid love, fever, and drunk dazed as they are amazing(especially the dance for fever it’s so satisfying)And if you wanted to ever watch something other than their music I would recommend the series on their channel called en’oclock where they play games and hang out. I hope I don’t sound annoying and if you don’t have the time or aren’t able to then definitely don’t force yourself. I just really love your reactions and wanted to share this. Have an amazing day!
