For you to see more of Yeosang, you need more "informal" video. He is very introverted and shy when it comes to new people and situations so usually he hangs in the background but when it's just the 8 members of ATEEZ playing games together (+their staff), competing or just hanging out, then his wit and humor has time to shine.

I’m glad you’ve taken a liking to ateez! They actually also did a showterview interview with Jessi like TXT did and I think you would really enjoy that as well! Ateez is actually an 8 member group however one of the members - Mingi, was on a break during the filming of this video but he is present in Jessi’s interview with them so you’ll get a chance to see them all together in action! I really recommend it because it’s hilarious and ateez are personally one of the most entertaining groups for me as they’re so chaotic and energetic. Would love to see you check them out more :) Edit: sorry completely forgot Jongho wasn’t in the Jessi interview my apologies but I still think it’s worth the watch

Hongjoong said once that he wants Wooyoung to be leader for one day just so that he can say no to everything Wooyoung says, to pay him back. lol. But Wooyoung is incredibly charismatic, personable, and confident. He really is a natural leader, in the sense that people just want to follow him and are drawn to him. But he's also a fun-loving chaotic demon. Not meant as an insult, it makes him super amusing to watch. He's the reason I fell in love with Ateez.

10:53 the members have actually said that they became closer because of Wooyoung, when they were trainees he was always showing affection to them and he treats people like they’re best friends from the start so they all picked up on that and acted that way towards each other to,he’s such a happy pill and his laugh is so contagious:)

As someone who biases yeosang, interview situations are not a great indicator of how he actually is. He's an introvert at heart, but he's funnily enough best friends with Wooyoung of many years. He's extremely funny, very blunt in a comedic way towards his friends, but saves his words for when he feels they're needed. He is also extremely well spoken and you can tell when he speaks that he has thought about his words before saying them, so as to best express how he feels. He's very open and honest about his emotions as well - he got a whole lot of hate and death threats at one point, and he even addressed it and was extremely kind about it and wished that the hateful people would grow kinder. Like he literally wished good things for the people who sent him death threats. The other guys in ateez often say that they worry a lot about him because he's too kind for his own good. He's a really interesting person, but one you have to dig deeper to understand, so he's often misinterpreted as cold, when he's the complete opposite.

You’re so right about Wooyoung, even though he may be the loudest quite a lot of the time, he can be quiet and serious sometimes in these kind of interviews but not the shy type of quiet, the kind of quiet that makes him exude some sort of charisma that you’re drawn to.

I'm watching ATEEZ since pre-debut, I've seen many sides of Jongho, and I'm quite surprised that some people in the comments have a certain impression of him, that I don't see at all? That he's not interested in the group, or that he seems arrogant? I'm not mad, everyone's impressions are subjective, so I can't argue with their feelings, but I just never thought about Jongho like that.. Jongho is the youngest of them and ATEEZ is never hesitant to show their love and appreciation for him. They've said many times that he's the secret weapon of ATEEZ. Thanks to their compliments and constant encouragement, Jongho became really confident as a singer - and that's amazing to see. Despite being the youngest of them all, Jongho is really mature and wise. He comforts the fans and gives them lots of advice on his livestreams (one of his advice helped me a lot when I was very frustrated with myself, so I'm forever grateful for that). The fans, me included, see him as warm and cozy, so we often call him anything related to bears, like "Little Bear", "Gummy Bear" or "Teddy Bear". He can be quiet at times, but he can also be the one who makes ATEEZ laugh like crazy. Sometimes he can be cute little brother to them, sometimes he's quite sarcastic and it's so fun to watch him teasing his older brothers. His bond with the rest of the group is really strong, all of them are extremely close with each other, and it's precious to see! I hope people can see Jongho like I see him, but I'm also aware that not everyone is interested enough to look for some more of ATEEZ's content, to see the real him. Just believe me when I say that Jongho is a sweet person 🐻❤️

Yeees was expecting this thank you!!🥰 Spot on with everything! Jongho is more like the observant type just like Yeosang, so they really don't engage much that's true, BUT, if they have to say something, in general they do it with confidence. Although for Yeosang, also has a "savage" roasting the members side that you haven't seen here but is mostly on shows and it seems like a defense mechanism and to be funny, but in general is very calm and the most pure-like, and "naïve" in the group. Whilst Jongho is super confident always, he is the youngest of the group so that maybe adds to letting his brothers speak more? Tho still he prefers to observe and comment on key things. He is also wise like you said and curiously the most mature on the group! They often treat him like a boss and a 40 year old xD And you haven't Mingi yet! He wasn't here and for almost a year because of an hiatus for anxiety. You will love him as well ☺️ Definitely all of them are really charismatic in stage and off stage which is unusual on that many members! And also unusual and the thing I love the most is that they have a really small gap of age(2 of 98 line, 5 of 99 line and youngest 00) so they are also friends (as in SK they if they are same age don't have to use honorifics so they become usually true friends) and oldest and youngest they still have small gap so they are all pretty much equals and this makes things so much better and make them a stronger group with a strong bond. Also! To know how much close they are, Wooyoung and San have matching tattoos that say smth along the lines friends till death(?, Wooyoung and Yeosang are friends bf joining the group and they made the promise of if they would fail they would do it together and if they success too, so when Yeosang left Bighit(where both were trainees), Wooyoung followed him bc of that. Also Mingi and Yunho were best friends too before and Mingi joined after asking Yunho if it was a good company. And when they chose the leader, Seonghwa who didn't said much at the time, spoke up so confidently saying that, "if Hongjoong isn't the leader there is no point in this" something like that, and now they are such good friends that Hongjoong wrote a song to him called "Thank U"(Friend the Korean title, and that's how he has him saved on his phone too) All of this speaks volumes of them :')

But also just a little bit about Jongho. He's the youngest member but he's a lot more mature in how he presents himself because most of the members are rather silly and loud (in a good way obviously). He's really funny and likes to make everyone laugh, but he's more reserved when it comes to his actual emotions but he's pretty confident and so he comes across as even more mature because of that. He's also pretty much always wearing suits no matter what the setting too lol

Jongho is the maknae, which you probably know in SK means he is the youngest in the group and has to defer to all the others. Being American, I know I don't pick up on all the cultural clues, but he seems the least 'maknae' acting of any I've seen. He is very confident and polite. The rest of the group takes care of him, teases him, and are proud of him (especially his vocal skills). But they do not mess with him and when he speaks up they all listen very seriously. There are moments where they treat him like the oldest. I read that he's the oldest child in his family, so that would probably explain it. That's just my impression, I could be totally wrong. But I love his voice and confidence and how he easily handles 7 crazy older 'brothers'.

Hongjoong is the leader. Jongho is the youngest of the group but like u said he has a wise aura. There is a running joke among the fandom and the group that except for jongho everyone's mental age is around 5yrs old. When they r together they r the loudest, most competitive, passionate group u will ever meet.

i always think of ATEEZ as an independent group. each member feels like have that independence yet they blend with each other very well and have a great teamwork. they're also very honest so it feels genuine. love your content, always!

Ok so for more interviews, they are old but I recommend the one with Dkdktv the most and maybe the one with the yt Heyitsfeii (but there is concert footage at the end that you can skip), and other of 2 parts with Jrekml, and a bit more recent: The Star magazine interview, Hanbam interview(there are various episodes and it's so fun!), more formal one the e.L.e magazine interview and one that's like a month ago, the Sohu Korea interview! :)

7:13 As the appointed leader (Captain) he does often take the lead in new situations. It was actually kinda funny in Kingdom, when they had to interact with more experienced groups, how all these confident young men grew quiet and turned to their Captain to break the ice, even though he got tested as an Introvert.

From Hongjong's (leader) words, Wooyoung is the "glue" of group. The reason why they were so close is Wooyoung. With the people at the back, Yeosang, Yunho and Seonghwa, they are kinda more reserve. Yeosang is the most quiet member HOWEVER, when he opens his mouth, it will be either funny af, serious af or savage af. There's no in between. He is by far the funniest member. Yunho is an extroverted person who has bright personality. Seonghwa has this motherly presence where he tends to have the guys shine more and he will just support u from the side. Jongho has a strong presence on him that's why he is the maknae on top. The members often say that he is way mature than his age.

Jongho is the youngest member, but they're so close in age across the board that he still carries a lot of responsibility, especially as their main vocalist. He's naturally a quiet, reserved person, so I could understand how that would give the impression that he's not engaged. But when the pressure to perform is off, he treats the other members like family.

Just stumbled across this in my recommened and I had to get patreon so I could watch the full thing. Love how much you really understood them. Can’t wait for you to learn more about them. San, the king of eye contact, is extremely attentive and listens to the members like his life depends on it. Wooyoung is the pop social butterfly and skinship king. And yes, yunho is simply very sweet. Hongjoong is leader of the century hands down but yes, wooyoung is the energy leader. Would absolutely LOVE to hear your take on their interview with Jessi. It’s insane.

I've never seen anyone doing an analysis like this before so it was quite interesting! Especially your impression of Wooyoung and Jongho. I think Jongho usually isn't as much of a "team player" and acts more mature while still being confident but sweet at the same time! He isn't completely standing outside the group and takes part in everything in his own ways. San's confidence amazes me,too.

Hongjoong is the leader but a bit more of an introvert. Wooyoung is often called the trouble guy hahah he jokes around a lot but that’s his charm. He’s very outgoing and very easy going! He easily makes friends and if I remember right the members talked abt wooyoung being the reason they ar this close! Yeosang is a huge introvert, shy but is actually wooyoung’s longest friend! Here also wooyoung took the initiative, you see yeosang come out of his shell when interacting with wooyoung!! Also there is one member missing here! I’d love you to see more of them since I feel this Intverview didn’t necessarily show all sides of all members

jongho is more reserved round people especially in interview settings? he carries himself with confidence but he's quieter in formal settings. he's more expressive n mischievous around the members and with fans as well! he's cheeky, funny, sweet n extremely thoughtful n self reflective too! he shares his thoughts in a way that's almost reverent sometimes and i like to think that his love language is different from most people i know and that makes me adore him more! yeosang is also shyer n introverted around strangers and but he can be good at communicating! he's an emcee on a music program that airs weekly in south korea and he does really well! he needs to warm up to people and he has a more subtle more dry sense of humour that cracks people up a lot because he's on the quieter side but when he speaks up it holds impact to it and he's so gentle in his mannerisms n the way he treats others around him. hes more honest with his thoughts in the way that he doesnt hold back when hes around people he's familiar with! all of ateez love each other so much though it's really endearing to watch different content of them interacting with each other they take care of each other and they call each other their brothers their family and they take note of each others' individual promotions outside of ateez such as emcee yeosang, yunho seonghwa jongho and san's debut as actors this year in a k-drama called "imitation", hongjoong n yunho's pepsi commercial, wooyoung being picked to film a performance video for "artist of the month", wooyoung and san's appearance on a really big variety show in south korea, and jongho going on a famous talkshow that airs late at night! for me, hongjoong really stands out as the leader of ateez, especially in videos like backstage filming, or platforms for them to chat with fans, where he's always praising them, supporting them, standing up for them against malicious comments, asking fans to show love for their individual promotions, and he really knows how to handle interpersonal relationships really well! ateez have said time and time again that hongjoong is the best leader and seonghwa going as far as to say in a meeting (which he was silent in most parts only to speak up with certainty when the question was raised) with the ceo of their company pre-debut that if hongjoong wasnt the leader, there would be no meaning to creating the team. i truly love their dynamics n how much they love n care for one another.

Oh I'm so glad you got to ATEEZ, they have such amazing charisma (especially on stage but otherwise too) and playfulness but also they are very earnest too. Sadly Mingi, the 8th member, was taking a break due mental health, so he wasn't part of this video. I would recommend either their newest hello82 video "Question Parade w/ATEEZ" or their older interview "ATEEZ CHAOTIC INTERVIEW 🤪❗ [ATEEZ x DKDKTV]" Both of these have all 8 members present and also they act quite freely there.

Others have told you about the group and recommend Jessi’s showterview, but I wanted to mention a few things: Wooyoung is very sociable and has several idol friends - two you’ll recognise being TXT’s Yeonjun and SKZ’s Changbin. He’s also a massive ARMY, and Jimin is his idol. There’s a relatively small age gap between the members (2.5 years between Seonghwa the eldest and Jongho the maknae) with 5 of the members being born in the same year, so they’re all very close. Thank you so much for this video. Wow you only look at this one interview and you got mostly correct 👏🏻👏🏻 . And Ateez are always true to themselves and to Atiny (their fandom) . So their personalities are not fake or made up. Absolutely right about Wooyoung, he has that kind of magnetic charisma. This is based on what I observed from many many reality shows and behind the scenes videos. You can not live without Wooyoung, even tho sometimes he is yeah you know, hard , but still he is warmhearted and fun to be with. Especially to his little brother. He loves him dearly. Him and Yeosang were trainees together at bighit back then . And they promised to have a concert together overseas and succeed together. Then Yeosang left and joined KQ because he wanted to debut fastt and he didn’t think he could do it with bighit. And so he left. But a couple of weeks later, Wooyoung decided to leave and joined KQ because he said he wanted to keep that promise and they did. So proud of them . Yeosang is gentle and pure, and Yeosang’s parents trusted their son to Wooyoung because this is a tough business and they actually did not approve and worried so much about Yeosang. Wooyoung often said that you can sell a cat and said it’s a dog to Yeosang, so Wooyoung can not leave him alone. Their friendship is sooo cuteee . Yunho and Mingi (the one in hiatus) are also long time friends. One day Mingi said he wanted to join an audition and ask Yunho to wish him luck , and as to their surprise Yunho also said that he wanted to join an audition as well. Then they said good luck to each other and the next day they met at KQ LOL . They used to meet up to have lunch together when they were in high school and Mingi said Yunho is the only one that waited for him because Mingi eats slow. So when Mingi is on long hiatus Yunho is like not like himself (very higj spirited) . But he’s happy again now Mingi is back. Hongjoong is the first in KQ. He’s also brilliant and very talented. And so he became their leader. While Seonghwa is like you said , shy and calm. And he ever suffered from low esteem. But he had so many supports (he said that) from the members. So now he is confident. San is the most famous member of Ateez. He is super caring. And super nice. Although he looks like an NFL like you said 😂. Jongho that you want to know more , he actually is the Maknae (youngest) in Ateez. But he is very mature even tho still very young. He was born on 12 October 2020. You said he seems to not engage to the other members and not a team guy. There’s actually some truth in that. Jongho has an unbelievable talent , popular opinion Jongho is the BEST Vocalist in 4th gen. Unpopular opinion (mine) Jongho is the best vocalist in Kpop. His vocal is powerhouse, he can do extremely extremely high notes that no one can do. And Jongho is highly skilled and can make anything from his voice , he has an amazing control of his voice (I don’t say about voice color because it’s a personal taste, I’m talking about the skill) . I can make a list of tons of Jongho’s unbelievable vocal. The best recently is Kingdom Symphony of the Wonderland that is the BEST of the best. Maybe you might want to check that out. Ateez ‘s concept is pirates and they really stick to it from the beginning. Jongho is also a very very great dancer (in the covers when he didn’t have to sing live all the killer high notes and need to reserve energy) . He is also a captain in the school football team and he can do many many sports (some of his family members are sportsman/sportswomen) . He’s also very clever and witty and wins most of many games . And he can learn anything fastt, you should see his watermelon carving that is soo good even tho it’s his first time joined the challenge. And his drawings are also good. In short, he aces in everything he does. So yeah he’s not a team guy (actually) but he can work so well with Ateez tho. Jongho doesn’t like to talk much and super straightforward. Maybe that makes him look cold and arrogant. And he is super super super strong. Super human strength. He can crush apples while singing so stable and more. His grip strength is almost 2 times average adult men. Actually Jongho is a good guy, but he can not express his feelings (Hongjoong ever said Jongho’s mother is like that too, so it’s genetics. But if you look closer , actually Jongho loves his Ateez Hyungs (big bros), especialli Yeosang. He hates skinships but he ever took Yeosang’s hand to calm him, maybe Yeosang was nervous. And he bought Yeosang double presents because he can’t choose which one Yeosang will like more. I admire him so much . I used to always like the rappers but after I saw Jongho I immediately in awe in disbelief and Jongho is my ult bias ever since. Sorry I didn’t realize I write soo long LOL . It’s just that I love Ateez so much. They’re great guys, very polite and kind even tho they look scary on stage. Their stage charisma is the best, I lost words of how to describe it. And they trully close one another. You’re not wrong. They are very close just like real brothers and knows each other well, with sibling energy quarrels 😂. I subscribed.

wooyoung sometimes reminds me of jimin with his emotional intelligence and skills to include people easily. but i also thought that san seemed a bit nervous cause he didnt change his posture much but wooyoung was really comfortable, kind of slouching in between and really concentrating on the members. thanks a lot for checking them out. :))

gosh i loved this video, specially when you said they really know eachother and that they have each other's back, cause THEY DO! Hongjoong(the leader) already said that everytime most part of the group is a little down and sad etc someone comes withe their brighest energy to cheer them all up and it always works, most of the times those people are yunho, wooyoung and san, but all of them help eachother. This is one of the reasons that i like them so much, their chemistry and their bond is REALLY strong, they are real brothers. Love this video! I've very quickly become a very big fan of your content :)) About Jongho: I agree that he doesn't come off as a "team player". As a long time fan of Ateez, I don't think it's that he doesn't like the group, it's just that his personality doesn't really fit into the culture the group has created for themselves. I'd say Wooyoung, San and maybe Seonghwa have been the main members pushing this culture- complimenting each other, physical affection, hyping each other up and being supportive of each other. Jongho is just not that guy. I would say he's more reserved and buttoned-up (quite literally, he always is), and he isn't that big on physical affection or words of affirmation. Yeosang is kind of the same, but he's a lot more timid and introverted than Jongho. I'd say that Jongho is pretty confident in his reserved personality, and he can still command an audience if he wants to- Yeosang is just shy and less confident, and has a lot more difficulties speaking to a big audience/commanding a conversation (but he has improved since debuting!) I hope this puts some group dynamics into context :)

Wooyoung is usually quite reserved & quieter in these type of shows especially when they are in English (even if they mostly spoke Korean here). But I get what Max means by Wooyoung having a “quieter charisma”. Even though he can be loud, he never comes across as someone trying to be the center of attention. He’s just himself & that’s enough because of how naturally outgoing & charming he is.

Wooyoung is our Angel, we all love him and Ateez consideres that he's the reason why they are so loving and close with each other too. Hongjoong is our leader, our Captain as we call him (Captain of our pirate ship, bc Ateez concept is "Pirates"), he has a really big sense of respect and morals and I personally think that he teach us Atinys a lot! This interview comes such a specific and odd time for them all. It was their comeback, so they were very busy promoting that. They were also doing Kingdom, a competition with other groups doing performances, and the first major stage in the competition was filmed literally as they were doing promotion performances for Fireworks. One time they literally didn't get to go home and sleep for like 3 days straight between music shows, practice for Kingdom, and recording the show. things were also off because one of the members, Mingi, was on hiatus to deal with anxiety issues. They all felt his absence very strongly and in different ways (Seonghwa wouldn't let staff take Mingi's toothbrush out of the bathroom and cried over it, for example), and Hongjoong also had to take over all his parts and became their only rapper for most of that time (Seognhwas filling in parts where he could around his vocals) Jongho is a bit more quiet and reserved in general, but especially in more formal situations like interviews, and he knows he tends to get a lot of attention in the group by virtue of being the lead singer, so he tends to be a but more quiet in these situations to let others get a chance to shine. They're also more loud and energetic than him in general. He's also not one for much physical affection (he used to scream at cheek kisses) though he's happy enough to give back hugs when he feels like it (especially to Yeosang and Wooyoung, Yeosang's shoulders are his personal property I swear). Hongjoong and Seonghwa are the group dad and mom, respectively, and both support them all in different ways. According to the members over the years, you go to Hongjoong for solutions, and you go to Seonghwa for comfort. In interview situations (ESPECIALLY in English ones as he's by far the most fluent), Hongjoong will take the lead, but tries to make sure everyone gets a chance to speak and be heard (harder during games but still). Seonghwa tends to hold back more to make sure everyone is getting their turn and no one is forgotten, and to be the control and off switch if someone is getting to be too much, usually in the back and next to a combination of Wooyoung, San, and/or Mingi (with Hongjoong next to the others). Yunho is an interesting case. He's chaos incarnate, but he's also third oldest and oldest/leader of the 99s, and can be counted on to be responsible, especially during interviews, or when one or both of Hongjoong or Seonghwa isn't around and needs help corralling the others. He won't like it, but will be the fun police if needed. He was also really feeling Mingi's absence, they've been best friends long before either were in the company, and have an extremely close connection. He hid it really well, but it was extra noticeable in hindsight after Mingi came back and Yunho was back to his usual self. Others have mentioned with Yeosang, but yeah this isn't the best way to see what he's actually about. New/formal situations and people tend to make him fully pull back into himself as the shy introvert that he is. Right after this though, he started working as the MC for a music show, and that really forced him into coming out of his shell more and more especially with new people, between his cohosts and his segment of th show where he did choreography with groups. The best way to see him is the logbooks and behind the scenes videos, or some live streams he really comes to life. (It'd be interesting to see a video on one of those in particular actually, the Seonghwa and San one they did from the dorm. Most of them pop by for a while, like it's on for less than a minute before Wooyoung comes through yelling and threatening to destroy Seonghwa's stuff, Hongjoong bitches about getting kicked from the room (even though he basically lives in the living room due to late hours and seonghwa being a light sleeper), Yeosang comes by to be cute and show off San's pjs after they talk about him spoiling the live, Wooyoung comes back, San licks Seonghwa multiple times, it's a great time here on vlive www.vlive.tv/post/0-25966806 or re uploaded to youtube here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ6vn3qBmq92adk)

according to Yeosang in an interview they did, Wooyoung is one to skip steps when it comes to making new friends. He's the kind of guy to just suddenly bite you. I'm pretty sure that Wooyoung was the last to be added to the group, and from what I have seen and heard in interviews, he has really helped the group bond. He really does make everyone feel included and he's a social butterfly (I'm pretty sure that he made friends with everyone on the show once Kingdom ended, for example)

Wooyoung adores his members as I think it's very clear to see. He's very protective of them and tries to get them all involved. He's very aware of their feelings and even can take notes on their body language and react accordingly. He also always looks for recognition from them and to show he cares, he's definitely an empath. I'm glad you noticed him and kept coming back to him in a good light because a lot of people make the mistake of thinking he's an attention seeker and is too loud and forward but he's not, he's just trying to build an energy for everyone to react to and get engaged.

I really enjoyed this. I have been an Atiny for a long time and am familiar with their way of communication. It was so fascinating to see how fast you picked up on their characteristics. Of course Atiny know that Wooyoung is loud most of the time, but in the beginning of this interview I also wondered, why he acted quieter.
