i find it hilarious how every time max reacts to a new group in an english interview, he always points out a quiet member and then the comments are always full of people saying that person is actually the loudest in korean lmaoo (and in this case it's haechan lol)

Mark and Johnny are super close and have a really good bond! Since pre-debut they became close since Johnny is from America and Mark is from Canada so they had relatable experiences. They have always been very close friends. Johnny is super confident while Mark has a bit more of an anxious air about him so they bounce off eachother super well

I would absolutely LOVE to hear all your Haechan analysis in the future. I find him so interesting because he's one of the few extroverts in NCT and is known for being extremely mischievous and loud but is also known as a very attentive and caring member at the same time. He's also in the NCT Dream unit along with Mark which is a unit consisting of most of the younger members in NCT. I would love to see your analysis on both Mark and Haechan as the youngest members of NCT 127 vs the older members and Mark being the Leader in NCT Dream. Both units have very different dynamics and I think NCT is a group you'd enjoy in that sense.

I find it interesting that, in NCT at least, all the biggest tallest boys also happen to have the warmest, mellowest "teddy bear" type of personality: Johnny, Jaehyun, Doyoung, Jungwoo, Lucas, Winwin, Jisung, Shotaro, Sungchan etc. If you compare these mellow big boys to the hyper beagle line (xiaojun, renjun, ten, haechan etc.)......Oh boy. Is it true that the shorter a person is, the higher the temper?🤣🤣

nct has 23 members(they break up into sun units) and they add members a lot and at the time jungwoo was a new member so he was a little shy and quiet but now he's like extremely loud and makes the members laugh a lot they tried taking care of him skit at the beginning though because he has anxiety Haechan is extremely loud actually and is kind of a menace and likes to piss off members

Oh man I love these boys, personally I always found it interesting just how diverse their group is in terms of origin and nationality, NCT as a whole actually has 23 members (taeyong is the overall leader) and broken down into their units as NCT 127, NCT dream, Wayv and NCTu (a interchangeable unit》ex:mark, yuta, doyoung, Lucas etc.) Like before in the beginning when they had started because of the diversity not all of them were fluent in Korean and so there were so many misunderstandings regarding language barrier but it's become so fun to watch them grow and learn from each other

you’re right about doyoung and jungwoo! they are really close and doyoung has said that he feels the need to help and protect him especially in the year this video was filmed since he was still new to the group and dealing with personal struggles. they’re still really close but not really in the same way, before it was more like doyoung protecting and helping jungwoo and jungwoo leaning on him and reaching him for help, they still do that now but not so much on camera, they’re more playful and “flirt” with each other more, they’re also more confident (especially jungwoo)

i get that interviews in english are probably the best in terms of length but they're usually not the best way to understand how members usually are bc most members wont be as comfortable if they dont know english that well.

Now that you've taken a look at 127 it might be a nice idea to react to the other units of NCT as well like: *WayV* - the chinese unit (contains 4 out of the 8 extroverts out of 23 members, they're LOUD af), *NCT DREAM* - the youngest unit (atm lol NCT is ever expanding, they're pretty fun and tend to mess around a lot), *Sungchan and Shotaro* - the two members who were added most recently (unfortunately these guys don't have a set unit yet 😭😭 they've actually improved A LOT since joining with communication... they were VERY shy at first which is understandable as it's obviously very intimidating to join 21 talented guys later on) and finally just *NCT* - which (atm) is all 23 members together and just an absolute awkward chaotic mess

Oh wow thankyou for this Max! I suggest you to watch their interview with Stacy Nam, also on iHeartRadio. There is a 2 part video and each of the duration is kinda long (you can just watch one of it). I suggest you that bcs i think that was the only english interview which represents the most on how each one of them communicate like they would in korean, and kinda represents their personality-wise too. Maybe the fact that Stacy speaks korean too and the ambience set is pretty relaxed here, so the members is much more comfortable? Yeah hope my suggestion will make it to your watchlist!

I love Johnny. He's there for this American energy and his vibe during promotions and his YT presence. He's not naturally a singer or a dancer, although he tries really hard. He's in NCT for just what you noticed. His ability to connect people.

Glamour has a video series called "______: Takes a Friendship Test", NCT 127's and SuperM's are really funny and insightful. (In case no one explained, SuperM is a sort of 'all-star' group of the SM label and 4 out of the 7 members are from NCT, so they tend to get lumped into the NCT universe... hence all the SuperM mentions in the comments.) NCT as a whole has a VAST amount of additional content... with 23 members, someone is always recording something. So if it's videos of them interacting you're looking for, brace yourself, there's a LOT. 😄

About taeyong he's actually quite introverted, he's being vocal for the group at times because he is the official leader of the band and therefore he must feel that it's his responsibility + he probably has been trained for that

NCT actually has more units of different combinations of members like NCT Dream and WayV so it'd be cool to see your interpretations of those members too. A good thing to point out is that when this interview was released, in 2019, Jungwoo was still a "new addition" to 127 (check out later NCT's group system) and he was constantly nervous about getting used to the stages, interviews, and letting himself go took quite a few time (he even got in a hiatus because of his anxiety), so at that time was common to see the members giving comfort words and touches, to make him feel comfortable and okay. They really behave like a united family (and that's why I feel safe when I watch their content).

Thank you for this video. I loved it so much ❤️. But I laughed when you said Jungwoo was quite 😂. Fyi, Jungwoo and Haechan are the happy virus of the group 😂😂😂. Jungwoo, in particular, is a comedian 😂. Taeyong is the leader of NCT 127. He's well-articulated when speaking in Korean. He's been learning English recently bcs he said he wanted to speak comfortably with international fans. His English has improved soooo much bcs he's not afraid of trying to speak in English.

I think Haechan in the “nct Dream rooftop” videos are an awesome place to get to know his personality + the Dream members as well 😂 Also with nct 127. The first part of the Brooklyn boys episode too. Jungwoo used to get a lot of anxiety in the front of camera, but he’s more relaxed now. I’d recommend watching one of the episodes from the series Jungwoo does called “finding this person”. In each episode, he interviews and learns a “skill” from a fellow member. There is one where he learns the skill of photography from Johnny which was pretty hilarious. Another one where he learns to be flexible with Ten.

At that time Jungwoo was the newest member in the group (NCT 127), and just like you pointed out all of them were always super attentive to him making sure that he felt comfortable and included. In here he was shy and maybe nervous, but now days he's one of the most charming and comedic members

Tbh these videos are older but still definitely shows some of their personalities I recommend their recent iHeartRadio interview with Stacy and its much longer and laid back also mark and Jaehyun on the korean Englishman channel, also JCC videos with different members. BTW Taeyong is the leader of NCT and now he's become so much better at English and is a great leader to all thr members. There's also hundreds if compilation videos of how close they are, also another mini series I recommend is BKLYN BOYS it's not too long but they basically did vlogs and had fun and you can see their closeness and roles in the group.

Johnny is such a people person and someone that thrives really well with interviews and radio etc. I'm glad you caught it really fast. He's really engaging and does his best to be super inclusive to the members and always helps and corrects them from the sides. Honestly he played such a huge part with gaining fans. I would highly recommend watching videos of NCT when they are alone. There are so many different dynamics it's really interesting.

Yup Johnny does have good leadership skills, not as in making the rules but as in softly guiding/helping the others when they need it especially in social situations, he's an amazing mood reader and mood maker, can adapt and make everyone feel comfortable, can support and comfort people efficiently, and is just such a genuine people person with high eq and talking skills. He's easy going, confident, understanding and the other members often point him as very reliable (he's the second oldest in the group /and also has the biggest frame lol/ so for instance he takes care of taeyong who is the official leader of the group and doyoung who is a bit like a mom of the group, both often have said they rely on him a lot) and the younger, more excitable ones like haechan or Mark seem to somewhat look up to him and have a very cute big brother like bond with him /sometimes it even looks like Johnny is really a dad or even a babysitter for nct lol. Anyway he's such a warm hearted guy
