(For those who don't understand, it sounds like a billion bucks because throughout the entire beat is uneven and a tad hard to follow. When the bpm changes at 1:41 to a completely even and predictable pattern for a few and then goes back to its uneven pattern, the beat gets more dynamic and sounds extremely satisfying.)

The game itself is too. It just did so much RIGHT. For the Atelier series' first real time strategy game, there's just so MUCH to it. I've never been encouraged to outright MASTER the combat as I have been with Ryza. Any other game I could just cruise through with laughable ease, but Ryza made me TRY. That alone makes it an all-time favorite.

Hayato makes some amazing battle music. Sad he left KTG to be a freelancer. What I love most about blue reflection game was mostly the amazing battle soundtrack he made for it too. So I hope whatever game he works on they get him to do their battle theme.

IMO, nothing about her design screams sex. The thighs are maybe a bit over portrayed, but there are worse cases. e.g. Dana from Ys VIII. While I fucking love Dana (her VA especially), her outfit kinda cheapens her a bit. However, her outfit is never mentioned/played upon by the cast, so the only 'sexualization' you'll hear is from yourself or others. But damn, that girl's teets are just barely covered. And then there's her 3rd outfit. GOD DAMN.

It’s so incredibly rare, at least to me, and it’s absolutely amazing finally getting to hear a battle theme in additive meter (BotW’s rhythmically complex battle theme comes to mind). More games should do it!

Started to play some Ryza, honestly been disappointed with the music so far, the fields and town don't have the energy or presence of Dusk or Arland, and this battle theme lacks the punch and identity that any of those games had.

I haven't played Dusk or Arland, but I feel like this game was going for a much more light-hearted tone. The soundtrack, while I'm not a fan of all of it, sets the mood very well
