That remote control thing is a cool concept. I'm going to build one for myself. Just without the PTZ part.

This was a perfect video; very well explained and detailed out the thoughts we had for a project of this same scenario and made them practical. Thank you!

Hello, I want to connect my device to an Internet network in the studio. I have a fixed IP address on the router and I configure the device to receive a static address. In a place further away from my studio there is a control room and there is a computer there but with a different internet network is there a way to remotely connect to the device to control my device which is in another house

There is a new technology from us which makes this easier. It's called Sky Tunnel and bridges communication to devices over public internet easily. It's in beta. Please reach out to our support@skaarhoj.com team to know more.

this is great! does the blue pill device replace this type of setup now?
@SKAARHOJ Жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't. A VPN such as the one PepLink provides is still necessary for this kind of interaction. It's not that we couldn't do it, but SKAARHOJ have so far decided to not enter into providing such a service online. Alternatively, opening the right ports on a network is possible too. Anyway, it's better to let pro network gear handle it.
@briantlicata Жыл бұрын
@@SKAARHOJ so the advantage of the blue pill would be the static IP address it creates and then ability to control any brand software mix and match right?

@@SKAARHOJ thanks! learning a lot about htis stuff the last few days
@SKAARHOJ Жыл бұрын
@@briantlicata The Blue Pill (which by the way is built into most of our products today so you don't need to buy it separately) is just a power house to connect to a ton of different broadcast gear. Many of those connections can easily be served over the internet provided the latency is not horrible. We routinely work with ATEM switchers in LA from our offices in DK for example. The global network is facilitated by a PepLink VPN router.

How do you send audio back to 'the office' so the operator can switch? I understand the Kiloview NDI encoder for the multiview, but the audio was not explained.
@SKAARHOJ3 жыл бұрын
The Multiview signal has the Program audio Embedded.

Yes, the way it works for me, this is required. Try to reach out to facebook.com/slingshot6/ - they have been very helpful and they know PepLink

Was your ATEM port 1 truly dead, or did you fall victim to their decision to exclude RGB/YUV conversion on that port only? It has caught me out too, when I try to connect Cisco/Tandberg PTZ cameras.

hi RJK. Thanks for sharing your experience, we sent the unit back, and received a new one, so I think its safe to say that something was broken :)

In your example you only need one Pep VPN device? I have all Ubiquity networking gear If I only have to buy one PepVPN device that would be great. Your thoughts?
@SKAARHOJ4 жыл бұрын
Hi David. I this video we use 2 Pep devices - one at each location. We don't know much about routers in general, so we can't advise you if Ubiquity can do something similar. please reach out to Ubiquity to learn more.
