Hi there, if you already have an Atem mini pro, why not using this one as « streaming box » instead of the web presenter ? And you would be in 1080, am I right ?

Does the new Blackmagic Streaming Bridge solve any of those issues? HDMI into computer and stream from there....( ps: great stuff btw...thanks! )
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
Short answer is -- yes it can, depending on your needs. We haven't used streaming bridges, so no direct experience. But, you could use it as an encoder, then convert back to a webcam input. Similar to re-streaming a youtube or vimeo stream -- probably with less latency if it's on the same network. But there will be delay. If you or anyone has tried this, I'd be very interested to hear about it... Great question btw!

Hi! At minute 3:24 you say something about 720p, but i can't understand you. Can you explain that? Thanks
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
Sure thing. The black magic web presenter (converts SDI/Hdmi to a USB webcam signal) only will output to the computer at 720p at the highest resolution. However the black magic atem minis will output a webcam signal at 1080p at the highest resolution. 1080p is better than 720p but there are certain situations where a web presenter is more useful than an atem mini. Not many but a few.

What do you think about atem streaming bridge?
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
We don't use them because I think there is a bit of latency with them. We also don't have much of a need at the moment. But, I can see it being very useful for many people in solving the 'recording while using a webcam out' problem. Thanks for the comment!

Dude love your channel. Hey can the streaming bridge help with a HDMI out so you can do it all over the network? maybe steam to a pc that has the bridge and outfeed that to a few different platforms?
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
Hey man, thanks for the support. Yes you can use the bridge to get a program feed out and then send that signal into something like a computer with a capture card or even send to restream and distribute the signal from there if you would like. We use vimeo which has the feature to splice the signal out to multiple platforms which is nice. Downsides are more delays/processing time but if you are streaming one way to youtube or something, it won't be noticeable because there is already a significant delay.

Hey, would you revise your verdict now with the release of ATEM Mini Extreme ISO model?
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, In our latest Pro/Cons video I talk about how this pretty much crushes our existing small portable rack which is basically obsolete now. And then I talk about the switcher that would really crush everything else for us and be an even bigger game changer in the industry. Oh and it's going to happen sooner than you think .
@joanmitorrens3533 жыл бұрын
I got your point, good explanation. But to be fair, this is not a comparison between Atem Mini Pro ISO vs Atem Television Studio... Is more like ATEM Mini vs ATV+WebPresenter+2xHyperdecks. I think that if you mount the Atem Mini Pro in a rack with all the extra equipment and functions that the atem mini lacks from factory, you should do almost the same thing on both machines. But nonetheless, your video and comparison is so good! Thanks

Looking for more information on how to hard code a custom RTMP in the XLM file. We are using the ATEM Television Studio HD. Does anyone have any ideas?
@A2ZProductions3 жыл бұрын
Hey Terrance. you will first need an encoder of some type. Something that can output the stream to the internet. The atem TV Studio HD can't do that right now so you will need one of the new web presenters or an atem mini or any other type of encode to get your signal to the specific RTMP. I can tell you it's a lot easier on a mac as we had to mess around a lot of permission settings on our PCs. Basically you find where the other RTMP destinations are in the XML file once you locate it. Copy and paste one of the other RTMP like KZbin and then replace the youtube destination with lets say vimeo. Then you save and restore the XML file and it should pop up as an option on something like the Atem Mini Pro, ISO or extreme series.

@@A2ZProductions Thank you we will give this a try. We do have the Blackmagic Webpresenter HD so that what we are working on trying to connect it with our Subsplash Live services
@bgradetv4 жыл бұрын
What if you use two Atem Mini ISOs, one for PGM output and another for Zoom output? I've watched a bunch of KZbinrs use multiple Atem Mini pros or Isos for that purpose.
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
Yes we have done that exact scenario in our current and past studio builds as well in our mobile rack case. That works but you do have to split the signals and then manage each atem output simultaneously. Sometimes it is just easier to get a bigger switcher with aux outputs. Sometimes.

I would like to hear what you have to say about the ATEM Television Studio HD kit and compare with Atem Mini Extreme ISO
@krishnansrinivasan8302 жыл бұрын
Nice & Thanks :)
@artobzor4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Continue comparing in different scenarios. You haven't mentioned main point that if you have more then 20 meters distance you have to choose SDI and some switcher with SDI (But it is clear for most of us) But it is a huge minus of Television studio switcher that it doesn't have scalers on inputs So the have to get one type of signal for all the inputs It is not a problem when you have a professional production But when you jus gather together with all the friends with their dslrs to shoot a concert of some other friends You start to get problems that you can't swich all the cameras to one format - 25p or 50i or 50p whatever So any ATEM mini will win this fight
@A2ZProductions4 жыл бұрын
Excellent point, and thank you for this comment. We'll be sure to address this in future videos. DSLR's and even laptops can be tough to work with on the Television Studio -- Really appreciate your input here!

The ATEM Mini Extreme ticks a lot of the boxes that your rack does, too. I personally hate the chroma keyer of the ATEM Television Studio, the ATEM Minis are doing a way better job at that. On a different level, SDI connections are way more professional than HDMI, as well as the XLR audio connections on the ATEM TVS
@A2ZProductions3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I agree completely. Can't wait for black magic to release the cross over between the HD TV Studio with the atem Mini Extreme. Maybe even in 4K? Very excited for the future and what black magic is doing.
