ATEM Mini Pro vs Atomos AtomX CAST

Nice review. Keep up the good work. I have the Atomx cast (and also did a basic review on my channel) and have used it on several live streaming jobs with no issues. Absolutely love this device ( not so much when it didn’t have the firmware to make it work). I will say that I had a disconnect issue in the early testing when using the hdmi program out to OBS on my 2019 MacBook Pro. So I used the usb c Program out to OBS instead without fail. But then I did an update on OBS and the latest update to the ninja cast and tried again with the hdmi and it was ok. I can’t say if it was the cast or OBS that caused the hdmi disconnect but I have not experienced it since. But to be honest, I still stick with the usb c webcam option just to be on the safe side. Several users on some forums shared that my model MacBook Pro does not play nice with OBS compared to windows based machines or the new M1 MacBooks..🤷🏽‍♂️

Those technical issues makes me stay away from the small gear for now. I own Roland Vr-50 series mixers and rarely have any technical issues. Although, with Mac, there are times that a mixer does not connect and you are forced to restart any mixer. OBS works well like you mentioned for quick cut away. Love the content.

Thank you. I just got the Atomos Cast for my Ninja5. I asked why can’t you have your camera record to your sd card in your camera while the Atomos cast Ninja5 set up. Record to both. Interesting in live streaming from this set as well.

No regrets getting the atem mini pro now. Atom seems too fancy. I need 100% reliability for livestreams. Because they are live.

Hey I enjoyed the video not ashamed to say there was times it was over my head but I don't study this stuff as much as I should I have a question though as far as trying to capture four feeds from say GoPros could I do it with one of these and a hard drive by chance it would be for multiple area shots

Atomos AtomX Cast, I BOUGHT THIS AND THE FIRMWARE HAD TO BE UPDATED BUT THE USB-C DOESNT WORK BOTH B&H AND ATOMOS SAYS IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED BUT SINCE IM STILL WITH IN MY RETURN PERIOD IM GETTING RID OF THIS AND LOOKING ELSE WHERE. THIS IS NOT A RELIABLE PRODUCT IT HAS LOTS OF ISSUE'S
