The idea that merging the lines with the colors to create clean masks really stuck with me. Also you can duplicate the line layer beforehand and just use one of the line layers to create a mask and use the other one as a guide for more complex areas of the painting

I love how simple you kept the face! The entire painting is kept so clear and direct, without doing unnecessary rendering or detailwork! Awesome!

Thanks so much for the video! You’re a great inspiration. I really need to nail down a process. I always get lost in my own painting by spending too much time in one area rendering it out while the rest is still in the early stages. This will help me out a ton!

Atey, can u talk about portrait on some next episode? and the differences between a stylized render (like anime) and a more less stylized like riot? i mean with face planes, etc

Nice painting (◕‿◕) Mask are really useful for sharp edges. Personnaly I'm trying a little different approach those days. I'm trying to use my brushes transparency to paint as we would do in traditional watercolor, and make the line disappear "layer after layer"...it's interesting :)

Whenever I use the laso, it always becomes pixelated. Is there any settings I should think of having to it?

Dricon1997 it's not possible for the tool to retain the original quality. however, you can work around this by having a larger canvas size and only making important edits.
