I'm really enjoying this series of you expressing your thoughts while painting. Keep up the good work Atey

okay, wow, I really really love this composition, choice of colours, everythingggg. How'd I only find you now is beyond me. Oh well, thank you for this fantastic video, I really love it! and I'm tipping my imaginary hat to you sir. I very much enjoyed the thoughts / explanations behind why you do what and damn you make it look so easy but it's so nottt xD anyway, thank you for this video. It may be old, but it certainly isn't forgotten :D I mean technically it's new to me, but I have a feeling I'll watch this several times :D

Love your videos Atey! I'm really inspired by your process for environment and splash art painting - your Elden Ring artwork looks beautiful! The brushwork and lighting are superb

I love how I'd say, I'm quite comfortable with characters, but could never draw as good as you... Well, at least not yet... while you're like: "I'm not that comfortable drawing characters", but your art is so amazing. :)

Atey I watched this video and most of your others so many times. And every time I try it pales in comparison. I'm not expecting myself to make immediate masterpieces (I have drawn all my life just not so much lineless and backgrounds) but somehow I can't manage to mimick a similar style. It misses the life that yours are beaming with. I hope one day you share your brush set. It's hard to find good environmental brushes.

this was really helpful. I struggle with backgrounds and this video makes me want to paint something similar with all the greens! It reminds me of the Redwood Forest in northern California

Hi Atey, this was truly inspiring! Great video. I'm more of a character illustrator and am wanting to start learning and practicing environments so I can eventually put the two together. It's a bit overwhelming knowing there are so many things to approach in environment art. Your videos are so helpful but have you ever considered a video or two for beginners (kind of like your 'learn how to paint environments - values'). Thanks!!

Lovely piece and very helpful commentary. Hearing your thought process is just as inspiring as watching you paint. How many references did you use for this? Do you have a huge folder of reference that you always take from or do you search for new reference online for each piece?
