Great video! I did Chaba Trail last August and it was a great backpacking trip! I wish the bridge was still up over the Athabasca so Fortress Lake was still easily accessible. The view of Mount Quincy with its glacier at 8:32 is amazing!

Great vid! It's a shame parks seems like they won't replace the Athabasca bridge. Had read in a few places that there was a plan in the 1990s to cut trail from Fortress down the Wood River to Jeffrey Creek and back up to Athabasca Pass... that'd be an incredible trip!

does Hayley’s dog sleep in the tent at night? If so, how does she deal with messy fur? What pack / size is he wearing? I’m thinking of starting to take my dog with me on selective backpacks but seems tricky

From Hayley: He sleeps in the tent, but you probably want to practice that before you leave with your own tent in the backyard. He’s a husky, I have accepted fur as part of my life in all capacities now. He’s wearing a large backpack but he should probably actually have a medium. Most backpacks have a chest measurement. So just take a tape measure and measure around the largest part of their chest. Hope that helps! 👋🏻
