The common thing that most liberals had is that they often think that religion is the problem simply by looking at past historical event without learning more about the context of it. They just "Oh, these two sides are fighting each other and both politics are based on religion. That means religion is the problem". To which it's not necessarily the case. Another example is that they tend to think that all religions work the same way. Now, i can't say anything about other religions, but in Islam, the law of geniune Islamic based nation is always fully based on Islam, and if you take your time to *ACTUALLY LEARN* Islam and the Quran, you would know that the rules in islam are fair for all sides, men, women, children, etc. And most Muslims in Islamic countries knows about this. Even if some of those Islamic countries are influenced by liberalism. More example would be that liberals tend to act as if they know what's best for humanity as a whole based on what they think is best personally. The rules in islam is based on Quran and Sunnah. And those who commit act that is forbidden in Islam are not following Quran and Sunnah, Simple. THE PROBLEM is that liberals don't actually know about Quran and Sunnah and they think that Islamic laws and rules are like what the western media protrayed (I.e ISIS), when in reality THAT'S NOT TRUE AT ALL. Don't think that everyone is religius. What i found ironic from them is that they tell people to be less religius for the better when in reality the problem that they thought was caused by religion was ACTUALLY done by less religius or even non-religius people. Islam never told muslims to kill each other like he said in the video, but some people in the past did that. And i can go so long explaining this.

What the irish dude doesn't understand about the library of Babel website is that when you search for a phrase/sentence/paragraph it simply runs an algorithm to work out which page of a hypothetical book on a hypothetical shelf containing x number of books in a hypothetical library containing y shelves in z rooms that particular sequence of characters would appear. The result is the product of a mathematical function. There's no meaning behind it. If you browse these "books", which are only digital and generated on the fly due to the impossibility of storing them or printing them, you'll mostly see random characters with no meaning. He completely lost the point that the Qur'an is not a generated book like that, so it predicting what the detractors say is actually remarkable, and should open their mind that it may be the truth revealed from The All Knowledgeable.

Absolute morality doesn't exist. If you say it exists and then go a step further to suggest that the source of objective morality can only be derived from the Qur'an and Sunnah then we have a problem. Prophet Muhammad married Aisha when she was 6 and consummated the marriage 3 years later when she was 9. If you are to say that Islam is the source of objective morality then what you are essentially saying is that this practice is acceptable even today. I don't believe Muslims today would condone such practice today, at least I would hope not. If you say that this practice is not acceptable today then you are proving yourself that Islam is not the source of objective morality.

Therefore, we conclude morality doesn't exist because if morality is based on opinions then one would say this act is wrong and one would say this act is right, but the act itself is neither right nor wrong. So you saying this marriage is immoral/unethical, in a world where absolute morality doesn't exist, is illogical, and is why he informed you of your contradiction. Now to provide an answer to your question: we believe in the existence of objective/absolute morality and we consider the source to be the Quran and sunnah, they both don't give an age. However, we are given some guidance and rules to work with regarding marriage(Using a she as the focus is on the woman): She is of sound mind and mature; she is physically capable; and she must reach puberty to consummate the marriage. And we are told to look at the customs of the people when we marry, so if they marry early at 14 and the islamic conditions are fulfilled then you are allowed to marry her. These rules allow a woman to get married according to her and her guardians judgment. So according to these points the marriage is allowed and halal. As for the age gap; the age gap is not a problem in islam, but in our day and age the customs of the people frown upon age gaps so while halal they are usually uncommon.

People collectively through reason and rationality come to the conclusion and decide what is and isn't moral/ethical. This is not based on an individual's opinions. If I say something is not moral or ethical then that does not mean that is the case. Kalam in the video even acknowledges of this and calls it moral relativism. He just doesn't fully understand what it is, which I explained it above. For example, people in the past did not condemn Aisha getting married at the age of 6 and consummating the marriage at the age of 9. But people do condemn this type of marriage in today's time. Do you believe it is acceptable for a 50 year old man to marry a 6 year old girl and then consummate the marriage when she is 9 years old in today's time? I never got an answer to this question, it's a simple yes or no question. There are various sahih hadiths that talk about the age of Aisha getting married was 6 and then it was consummated 3 years later. This was narrated by Aisha herself as shown below: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) married me when I was six years old. We came to Madinah and stayed among Banu’l-Harith ibn Khazraj. I fell sick and lost my hair, (then I recovered) and my hair grew down to my earlobes. My mother Umm Ruman came to me when I was on a swing and some of my friends were with me. She called me loudly and I went to her, and I did not know what she wanted of me. She took me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house, as I was gasping for breath, until I had calmed down. Then she took some water and wiped my face and head with it, then she took me into the house. There were some women of the Ansar in the house, who said: With good wishes and blessings and good luck. She handed me over to them and they adorned me, and suddenly I saw the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) at mid-morning, and they handed me over to him. At that time I was nine years old. (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 3894; Muslim, 1422) 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) married her when she was seven years old, and he was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old. Sahih Muslim 1422c

@BitByteNerd Oh, I already assumed that you believed in getting morality from rationality and reason, but there are always going to be different schools of thoughts, different directions, different rationalities and ideas, that bring evidence through logic and reasoning to support their existence. Their existence proves my point, one country can say X is right and moral and another can say X is wrong and immoral, one side of the country supports Y and another side supports Z, which one do you pick when they both bring in evidence? X, Y and Z are all acts, the countries themselves decide for themselves which one is moral and which is not, that is subjective as the environment, culture, history and philosophy of said countries is different, their citizens' thoughts and rationality affected by said differences and so their morality differs, so it's subjective as i said. As for the question: I already answered it? I gave you the islamic requirements for marriage which did not specify age and ignored age gaps, and told us to look into the customs of the land for specific topics, and since the prophet's marriage fits the criteria( to be expected) his marriage is halal and allowed, and so I say: yes I find no problem with the marriage of the prophet and Aisha. In modern times with the advancements in medicine, biology, quality of life and life expectancy; we can't realistically find a woman who is mature or physically ready at 9 years, we can possibly find one physically ready at 14, 15 years and since I said the age gap doesn't matter, even if it's considered taboo it's still halal. (maturity is different based on the person, someone can be 40 and still not be mature for someone else's marriage standards.) So to answer your question again I say: Yes, they can get married in the modern age, it would be surprising and weird to most people on the planet but feels and opinions are not moral facts. P.S ( the age gap can be 14 and 55 and it still wouldn't change the way people feel or my answer to your question, also as much as I wish to continue this discussion I need to go to bed so feel free to leave any replies but don't expect an answer soon.)

The claim of this muslim is amazing... He mentioned Al Razi as someone who found scientific method. This muslim claim al Razi was a muslim and so religion didn't make people backward. I don't know if this muslim is ignorance or just lying... because Al Razi was known for criticism of religion, that indicate that his finding was not really exclusive because he was muslim but rather because he was well educated.

What was the lie?? El Razi lived in The golden age of Islam in a Muslim society. That environment inspired and created the ability to create his methods. That just makes it even more amazing that he was critical of religion. He said 2 separate sentences: one about a Muslim who developed scientific method and second about Al Razi, who was a physician. The first one who developed scientific method was Ibn al-Haytham, and brother Muhammad didn't mention his name in these sentences. And he was indeed a believing Muslim, he started all his written works with Bismillah and even wrote about theology.

You would agree that zeus, odin, athena, and hindu gods like vishnu are all man-made. So statistically speaking, the chances of your god being real are minimal at best. But if you claim that your god is the only one among all the hundreds of gods who is real, then you must have some really solid evidence right?....Except that you don´t. Allah behaves like a jealous wife who gets angry because her man looked at another woman. He´s like "Look only at me, pray only to me....why are you looking at baal, look at meeee..." So childish. 'Only humans can come up with such a childush god. And then he gets angry, frustrated, disappointed etc...all human emotions in situations where you would expect humans to feel thesame. Clear evidence that allah is modeled after his human creators. And ofcourse, the quran is just childish as well. Muhammed seems to conviniently get revelation just when he needs it. For example, he wants to get intimate with the ex-wife of his adopted son, but he kinows people will question such behaviour and so, a verse comes down to tell people "hey, allah says it´s okay for muhammed to boink his adopted son´s ex-wife". lol
