A few hospitals have placed signs in their cardiac units - with nonsensical messages visible only from above - but so far NOBODY HAS RETURNED FROM DEATH CLAIMING TO HAVE FLOATED UP AND SEEN ONE. You would expect, that if any particular religious account of the afterlife were true, NDEs would be pretty much the same. BUT THESE ACCOUNTS ARE SO VARIED AND ARE ALL BASED ON CULTURAL EXPOSURE. IN INDIA PEOPLE SEE HINDU GODS, IN SAUDI ARABIA IT'S MOHAMMED, ALLAH, AND A BUNCH OF VIRGINS. The kid from the book/movie Heaven is for Real saw a Jesus with bright blue eyes, and ONE LITTLE GIRL WENT TO HEAVEN AND WAS GREETED BY A PORTLY MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD AND A RED CAP A.K.A. SANTA CLAUSE. An NDEr’s subjective experiences can be attributed to many factors: THE NDEr's PSYCHOLOGY, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND, ETC. - NOT JUST CULTURE. The terrain of heaven also varies wildly - from gardens, forests, or CATTLE FILLED PASTURES in some accounts, to clouds, COMPUTER ROOMS, or castles in others. A TEXAN SAW BARBED WIRE FENCES IN THE AFTERLIFE; Micronesians describe large, noisy CITIES WITH CARS AND SKYSCRAPERS. Whereas American near-death survivors are typically sent back by God because “it’s not your time yet,” INDIA'S AFTERLIFE VISITORS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE TOLD THERE WAS A “CLERICAL ERROR.” Even more curious: SOMETIMES THE BEING OF LIGHT IS ELVIS PRESLEY. And the two young ladies began to discuss...they both attended the same church. The one who went to church is describing the sermon that was preached, and it had to do with hell. I want to scream at this woman, THAT'S NOT TRUE, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS HELL, let me tell you about what it's like on the other side, but of course I can't speak."

Lessons From The Light Professor Ken Ring: Behind the question, there is usually the implication that some persons should be disqualified for this experience ‐‐ ra*ists, for example, or others who have led reprehensible lives. The answer I have heard several near‐death experiencers give to this question is unqualified: Everyone, they say, will come into this light. The Light is unconditional and plays no favourites. Then, she herself asked the very question that represents the limit for most people: "Even Hitler?" "Yes." And, then, pushing the Light even further, she found herself asking, "Even my father?" Again, "yes." These life reviews are seemingly always tempered by a kind of mercy that allows most of us to re‐experience our lives without teeth‐gnashing anguish and remorse. There is never any condemnation ‐‐ you are not judged. You are in the presence of a being who loves you unconditionally. You are treated with total compassion. You are already forgiven. You are only asked to look at your life, and to understand. The presence within the Light helps you through it with the greatest and most tender compassion and love and, even at times, humour. You are not being punished; you are being shown, so that you can learn. Just as there are genuine NDE given by God, so also Satan uses the same method to deceive others. Now you will ask me, then how will we know who's telling the truth and who's lying. Simply, any NDE testimony that doesn't align with the scripture such as denying the existence of Hell or that God doesn't judge anyone, and that all people will eventually go to heaven, KNOW straightaway this NDE is from Satan or that person is lying. The bible clearly states that: ( it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment). It is a risk if you don’t believe in hell. You have to believe there is hell, and there are consequences if you don’t repent. Go to church ask for forgiveness, keep the commandments, do the Will of God and follow Jesus, we would not be here if Jesus didn’t die for our sins, salvation and eternal life, he is the only way the truth and the life.

Those 'stories' mention some kind of encounter with Jesus and proceed to be told there is no hell. But Jesus himself said in Matthew 10:28 "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Jesus very words contradict those particular stories. The only way you can attempt to justify them is if your stance is that none of the encounters are true, not even in the Bible and if you don't believe in Jesus... but I know that there is a God and what Jesus said is true. If Jesus said there is a hell, then there is.

I have a lot of problems when he says the lord had some keys with all shapes and design and he walked over to a door and made him go in. I can't understand such a loving caring God that created us making us go to a place and burn forever God would not do such a thing God loves us far too much to do something like that. I think what happened here was God was showing him what HELL really is like and to do right while your alive so you don't have to go there.

Many popular books describe people’s near-death experiences. They claim to have been in heaven or hell and describe what it looks like. We should be careful with embracing these testimonies. What is revealed to us in the Bible about the after-life is sufficient. Also, these accounts sometimes contradict the Bible and often contradict each other.

Doesn't matter. If you are stuck there, reminding yourself that are just having a bad trip will not get you out of there. In NDEs a minute "real time" can last days, weeks or months. Viable neurons which are electrically active can be harvested from "dead brains" 9 hours later. So, your trip on that carnival ride might last several years before your hallucination ends.

I do believe Hell is symbolic. Jesus talks about fire, you can find the entire Old Testament rife with symbolism of God's fire that purifies base metals into gold, just as He purifies hearts on Earth into gold through affliction. I guess we'll all have to find out for ourselves.

Burning in hell is not a firm and fair thing to do to sinners isn't burning in the flames of hell a bit much if you stole a car drank alcohol smoked or did drugs. I find it very hard to understand what is so fair about that. after all it was God who made us and born sinners. I think if we are going to have to be punished God should punish us by what sins we committed and how bad they were. now if it were Hitler then he deserves to be in hell burning but if its someone who drank and brawled a lot then burning forever in the flames of hell is not very fair or just to me. if your child broke a window, would you start a fire and burn them??? That's the only part that made no sense to me too. We know now, those ovens were used to incinerate the lice covered clothes of the prisoners who were then sent to work camps.
