The importance of praying for the favor of a prepared death!!! People who are unprepared ( i.e. not in the State of Grace), may not, when they die, even know that they are dead... Purgatory is real and there are many different aspects to it: everything from being in a foggy place.... to undergoing suffering very similar to that of hell, except that (through the Divine Mercy of God) it will not be permanent. This good Dominican priest is on an important Mission - both in assisting those who are in transition from this world to the next world.... and also by educating people alive on earth here & now: to be aware that the 3 phases of eternal life are more mysterious than we may think (1) in utero/ 2) after birth, on earth/ 3) separated from our physical bodies until the time of the Final Judgment)...

I do not believe that Fr. Chad Ripperger ever referred to “past lives” as in re-incarnation. I have him heard him referred to the possibility that the apparition of some benign ghost COULD BE a soul who had to resolve some issue in their lifetime on earth as a form of a requirement of Purgatory or in search of prayers. If you have a clip of saying that, please reply.

I've heard Father Ripperger explicitly use the term "past lives" but I'm now assuming he may have been referring to what you are depicting. However, let me do some digging and find the clip. If anyone knows the clip I'm referring to, please share. Could take some time.

Agree with you, no such thing as reincarnate. Ghost could be a soul resolving issue. If a ghost bugs you, high chance demons.

We also need to understand that we are all God's creation & are all family. Angels are our siblings, even the fallen. In my experience, just as there are good people & straight up evil people, there's also so many in between the two extremes, so is the same with the angels. It's not that black & white, nothing in God's creation is, God is not that basic... We are to love all human beings, good & bad alike. I feel this holds true for our "other" family members as well. It has nothing to do with serving them.

All these people convinced of damnation is proof of religion's failure to point out the most important truth: God loves all 8 billion of us equally, eternally, immensely and without exception. Working on love and forgiveness is tough enough for this sinner without judging others. Love you guys. Peace be.

If Jesus himself had to fear the lord, do you really see yourself as above Jesus? You don't know God. We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Why fear the lord? Because he can destroy both soul and body in Hell. You would do well to learn that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Otherwise your soul is in danger with your delusional thinking. If someone committed heinous crimes and the judge said "I am love therefore you can go free, no problem." Would that judge be good? No he wouldn't, it's a rhetorical question. Our God is Holy and to be revered and feared. God is not some passive granddaddy in the sky but a wrathful and angry God against sin and unbelief.

This guy says he's allowing access to use his dreams to counsel souls? Sounds more like necromancy which is a mortal sin. I'm steering clear.

@christianmysticism Жыл бұрын
By default, when one is in prayer with God or His angels, any communication from God directly or by default His angels who work for God is not necromancy but divine revelation. Father Nathan would call it prophecy. Father Ripperger encourages us to call on Our Lady of Sorrows for information that is hidden to us. Would you say Fr. Ripperger is encouraging necromancy/divination as well?

@@christianmysticism You'll have to help me here then. Where and what context did Fr. Ripperger say this about Our Lady? Does Father answer directly to his superior and does he have his superior's approbation? Nothing is done without the authority of the Church. Does he operate within Church Authority? I didn't hear anything about Purgatory, Heaven or Hell. Near as I understand, soliciting knowledge from spiritual beings is inherently dangerous and is tantamount to divination, unless you can direct me to a solid source. Thank you

Interview itself is great. However, the clickbait title is not appreciated. I listened carefully, played and replayed segments, and followed along with the transcript. No where does Father Nathan say JFK’s “ghost” visited him. Every Catholic worldwide prayed for Jack between the death on Friday and the final good-bye on Monday. By Father’s way of thinking Jack would not have been a ghost on Monday but a spirit-not in purgatory but heaven. I’m not saying he was in 7th Heaven as we all know he had to have had one hell of a life review. But his two closest siblings, Joe and Kick, were already there. If you’ve ever read anything, anything at all, about the singular, close relationship of those three, you’d know Joe and Kick would have pulled Jack out of purgatory whether he thought he deserved heaven or not. He was never “a ghost.” A fact: Jack died hearing the Dallas crowd cry out “We love you, Jack!” That’s what was in his mind as he died. Love-focused minds don’t become ghosts, and clickbait is never endearing.

Oh my goodness, I was just trying to explain to someone today how I treat the fallen with respect as I do all God's creatures, & then I hear this... I completely get what Fr. is saying... They are our siblings, our family. Just as with human beings, there are good, evil, & in between. Nothing in God's creation is so black & white. I've had experiences with them since I was a child, brought into the astral regularly. I personally, however, do not refer to fallen angels as demons. The fallen are angels, some in regret that they have fallen, in deep sorrow, others completely fine with it & you can tell are pure evil. Demons are actually the Nephilim, the 1/2 breeds. As far as I understand, those are the truly evil ones, but I can't say for certain that they all are bcz I've never personally had any experiences with them. Not that I can remember anyways... Ty Father, & ty channel for posting this. It's comforting to actually hear another Catholic talk about these things that I can relate to. As a convert of only 4 years now resulting from my husband's NDE (which wasn't a good one), I've NEVER heard one speak on these things before...

Well. You’re wrong. I Ive listened to this and many of his lectures and do not come away with your characterization of his apostolate. If the revelations are authentic, the saint-mystics of the church submit them to Church authority. Offering this as if true out of hand, without such documentation, makes his revelations or dreams suspect. Church authority is necessary to guide them away from preternatural influences and imaginings. Skepticism is a healthy thing. God bless.

A Catholic priest who’s “ an expert” on what happens after we die. 🤔🙄. What better person to have knowledge of such things. Reminds me of “ father Amorth “., who claims he’s done 160,000 exorcisms. And still had time to write 30 books on said exorcisms. AND make guest appearances on numerous shows, podcasts etc. my goodness that’s truly biblical feats. Did this priest just say we can love demons. Yeah, its definitely a great idea to love creatures that want nothing but to damn my eternal soul. At this point I should just walk up and cuddle a fully grown grizzly bear, what can go wrong. People, please stay safe, don't listen to this priest I feel like he has been deceived by evil spirts. All very ear-itching and New Age, but The Lord, truthfully, is not letting souls get "stuck" in-between Life & Death, nor does He need special ministers to tend to His Business of dealing with souls in the Afterlife. Philosophy is philosophy and, often times, as we see with Spiritualism (which isn't far from this bunk), or with other "doctrines of demons," supposed "evidence" and "revealation" allure and appeal. However, The Scripture declares that personal humility, and trust in Christ, and God's Word, which proclaim that Christ handles everything, everything, is be preached. This New Age, Self, focused, spirit-guide, philosophically appealing mumbo jumbo goes against the truth and revelation of Scripture. Quit focusing upon mystical discovery and love and trust and obey The Holy Spirit. That's it. Very simple. I know this baloney appeals to people's sense of curiosity and the occult, but it is ungodly to be led away by alluring doctrines of demons. Nobody is getting "stuck," and this man and his friends are not talking with angelic spirit guides in order to help God free stuck souls. He needs to repent, immediately. May The Lord set him free from this pride and curiously and abandonment of The Scriptures, just to be exciting and interesting. You know what's exciting? Jesus dying for us and safely bringing us, with Him, into Heaven! Also, and here is a major evidence of the spirit behind this set of teachings: Satan is NOT "lovable" and is not loved by God's People. Satan has made himself into God's enemy and he sits upon the Throne of Death, Sin, and Eternal Darkness. Love this man, who leads urge astray by promoting a doctrine of demons. Save your prayers for Satan. He cannot be saved because Christ didn't shed His Blood for rebellious angels. This man can be saved. He's a human that Christ loves and died for. Pray that he quits this business of chasing after mystical experience and accolades based upon his titles. Pray that he is humbled and returns to preaching the Gospel Of Jesus Christ.
