Stephany is a perfect example of someone who has focused more on getting 'good' at arguing (I would argue it's just assertions and obfuscation) instead of focusing on the actual arguments and bringing something of substance. She attacks Matt, tries to discredit him right off the bat, uses dishonest tactics to assert her position and when she is called out logically she gets louder, tries to change the subject and basically whines. I mean it's kindergarten debate tactics. The equivalent of "no YOU!" and "Nuh uh, I'm right you're wrong I'm not listening nananabooboo". It's just embarrassing.

Stephanie either really doesn't get it or she is as dishonest as the devil herself. These types of theists disgust me. Perhaps I should correct myself. I think there was a lot of fear in the attitude of Stephanie. I think she knew Matt was going to floor her stupid argument and she tried to silence him by shouting over him with empty phrases. I think it is all fear for the emptiness of their theistic beliefs.
@goldenageofdinosaurs71925 жыл бұрын
A.Plosky That’s why they get so angry. Every Christian I’ve ever talked with goes from being sure, to slowly getting more & more frustrated. Then they’ll start asking 25 questions at once, & if you miss one, they take that as some kind of certainty that they’ve won. Some of them are obviously being dishonest & having no problem with that. Why would you ever think you’d truly win an argument if you had to resort to lies in order to do it.

I am very appreciative of those like Matt who've introduced some of us to the importance of logical fallacies. Unfortunately there is a very large number of those just like Stephanie who only hear the buzz words without actually understanding what they mean. Argument from ignorance Moving the goal posts Gas lighting Ad hominem attacks Straw man arguments Burden of proof Null hypothesis I doubt Stephanie, or most people, understand any of those concepts. Yet because of the simplicity of the words, eg goalposts, the, and moving; they incorrectly assume that of course they know what it means and therefore end up using it in whatever cockamamie way they've incorrectly come up with. Highly frustrating to listen to

The voodoo priest is a con artist, that is what is going on with the caller. He simply doesn't know what the voodoo priest "talked about with his clients" to make them rich. Guaranteed the priest got richer. The other story is a con artist story also, the person not showing to court. These stories have to many unanswered questions, specific questions not general ones. Money is a stong motive, and fear is a wicked con art in a money making bag of tricks. Gr8! Peace ☮💜

Stanley, get off the drugs. Your memories are wrong. You were wrong about everything. Especially since kids don't pay too much attention to details. The convepts maybe, but the rest is wrong. A good example is learning words to songs. I've had many favorite song where I couldn't understand a word or mis heard it, but then I listen to song as adult and am baffled how many words were obvious yet as a kid not. M Jackson, Billy Jean. I used to think the words were "but the champ is not my son". But now I don't know how I thought champ was the word. That's the real Mandela effect. Looking back at things now, it's not that things changed. The actual effect is that over the years we filled in blanks and condense things in our brains. Darth Vader says Luke a lot. It's a catchy, easily mimicked word. That plus he says it a lot it goes perfect with the biggest plot spoiler I am your father. Others, yo Adrian. Etc
