High school teacher Brian Jeffrey was a devout atheist. He thought the evidence pointed to a lack of a Creator… until he found out that his wife was pregnant.

When you were at the end...close to death...would you hope science would heal you, or your god? Interesting questions aren’t they? My take is......would someone trust in a god that was constructed 100 years ago or most likely 1000’s years ago, more than what humans have discovered over the years in keeping them safe? Through science. I’m guessing that many people who believe in a god, have been conceived and lived, not though their faith, but have been born and lived through the discoveries of science? It’s stunning to hear again all of this nonsense about god speaking in every language, to anyone. I am confortable in my dis-believe and some day, humanity might grow over this need of imagining an afterlife and a higher power that forgives, because when you mess up, anything, anyhow, anywhere, it’s up to you to stand up and take responsibility. There is nobody up there to pardon you
@stuartdemerse77593 жыл бұрын
@@frankdeblok130 this one statement in your paragraph makes me very sad, because it is why so many are lost and refuse to even investigate anything to see if there is any truth to it. "I am comfortable in my disbelief". I understand you are comfortable and I don't begrudge anyone looking to be "comfortable". But don't just disregard this out of hand because you are comfortable right now, simply think for a minute, what if you're wrong? If you're right, what have we as Christians lost? Nothing, because we all go into the same dark void at the end of our lives. BUT, if you are wrong, what do you lose? You get a few years here on this world enjoying your "comfort", and then an eternity of torment and separation from God. And I apologize if this is sounding like a "scare tactic", I really don't like those kinds of arguments. I am only talking about it here because of your choice of the word comfortable. And realistically, how much of your comfort would it really take away for you to put an honest effort into investigating the Bible? God bless.

I was a church goer until 1977, when God woke me up T 2am and said to me, “Are you going to keep trying, or trust in My Son?” To this, I said, “ I give up, I am trust g in Jesus for my salvation.” I was born again by God, and the Bible became an open letter from God to me. Yes, God is real. God is good. God changes All who accept Jesus into good people.

Interesting testimony. I was also saved back in 1977, but I had only been to church maybe a few times in my entire life. I wasn't an atheist, but I was agnostic and wasn't sure if we evolved or if God created us. I struggled with that probably for months. I was 20 y/o and in the Navy when I was brought under conviction that I needed to be saved and got saved about April 3'rd, 1977. I wished the man in that video had as clear a salvation testimony as yours and mine. His is anything but clear. It certainly leaves me doubting if he's truly born again. Turning from atheism to theism never saved anyone. I hope there's more to his story than what he gave in the video. Not a single word he said made me think he got saved.

This man gave one of the best testimonies by a former atheist of why he became a Christian that I’ve ever heard. Simple, concise, and to the point and it meant a lot to me and I’m sure to other people also. Having had a strong science background, I also was an atheist when I was younger and came to know and love Jesus Christ in similar way. Now I know that atheism was and is a false god and Christianity is the only way. God created science, science did not creat God. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!!!

@@theragnarok8896 That is exactly what Satan, who is a very real being, is telling you. That is certainly not to be found in the Bible, period. The Bible gives the only way a person can be forgiven of their sins and kept out of eternal damnation in a literal lake of fire and brimstone. It is through believing that God became a man through the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. ( Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke chapter 2) He lived a sinless and perfect life and was crucified on the cross for the sins of mankind. He took all our sins upon Himself and paid for them COMPLETELY. Jesus Christ was perfectly righteous and He shed His innocent blood as the Lamb of God on the cross as the payment for our sins. However, you MUST believe personally that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead and trust Him and nothing else. (Ephesians 2:8,9 and Romans 6:23) When you do that God does something very special for you according to Romans chapter 4. God credits all of your sins as being paid for by Christ on the cross and He goes a step further. He also credits or reckons that you are now as righteous in His sight as Jesus Christ Himself. God gives you eternal life as a free gift only by His grace when you believe in what Jesus did for you on the cross by His death for your sins, His burial, and His bodily resurrection from the dead. Nothing else can save you or anyone else. You are NOT automatically forgiven and there is not anyplace in the Bible that teaches what you said. There are MANY places that teach the exact opposite of what you said. Satan is a liar and the father of all lies. You are believing Satan and not the word of the living God.

I know what you mean Brian Years ago I grew up with no knowledge that God. Even existed But when I was 26 I had to have an operation to save my life. And on that operating table, My heart stops. They did CPR for as long as they could for about half an hour. But then they just give up and called it. I was then left for the coroner For about eight minutes with no heartbeat so no blood flow. But from that moment on my world was turned upside down. Every belief I had clung to in the past was destroyed, at that moment. For I found my self in that operating theatre up on the ceiling looking down on the people heads. who doing something with my body. trying to save it. I think I said some like what the,,,,,, I then felt a tug and was pulled through the wall I ended up in a place that was different shades of blue but what it was there were so many colours But my mind could not process them yet. But the longer I was there I started to see more colour I was now standing up I met people there, who told me they were my ancestors. And then I notice this,,,, very concerned guy kneeling on the floor with his back to me he was using his finger to turn over pages of photos, Then I notice they were photos of me. He keeps looking through them till he comes to a long forgotten time in my life. it was photos of me when I was a kid of 12 when I talking to a church elder. You see My family were not religious we had no religious training. So I know nothing about God I was only there because I suppose like all kids back then I was having night terrors. Night after night I was being dragged into a ash filled pit where the ash would burn my skin off burn my eyes out and with ever birth burn the inside of my mouth and lungs. My skin seems to grow back almost instantly then would get burned up again. and again. I wake up screaming in my mothers arms this went on for three month to finely My desperate atheist mother had taken me to see this church elder because she was getting sick and tired of being woken up at 2 and 3 am most mornings with me screaming and crying in her arms The church elder told me about Jesus Christ and from that moment I believed in him. And a few days later when I have again pulled in to that ash pit it had no effect on me the demon when it got close it open it month wide and was tripping over it self-trying to get away from me. I woke up late in bed seen my mother but she did not want to know about it. I never had it happen again When the guy on the floor saw this he looks up at me an smelled like he just found something very valuable. But being in my family After I believed in him at 12 I never went near a church, read a bible, or even become religious. Yet just bevelling save me I live my life as my atheist family lives I live as an atheist. even after this I lived as an atheist it was the only life I knew I saw Jesus that day and until he found that photo he was sending me to hell But there I was I spoke with God and found it did not matter what I did in my past once I believed I was forever saved.

Scott Rose, thank you for sharing! That is so true, we are all individuals in our journey towards our away from faith! No testimony is the same! I have been a believer in Jesus Christ since I was 14 years old! And I must tell you that I've seen miracle after miracle. When I was 19 I had Grand Mal seizures. So I was in Dilantin 250 mg 3 times a day for about 4 years! Before my husband and I started the process of trying to get pregnant, we went to my internal medicine doctor. He told me to stay on Dilantin till I was 3 months. We argued for a while, but then followed doctors orders! I was 22 years old. When we went back, he showed me pictures of what my son might look like--missing body parts because I was taking this strong medication! I struggled/worried for about 3 weeks, then surrendered my son to the LORD! He was born May 20, 1981, with all his body parts! Today he is the father of two boys, and a computer engineer! I give the LORD all the glory! This is truly a supernatural miracle! BTW, my internal medicine doctor had a cocaine addiction we later found out! It is my prayer, that you ask the LORD to reveal himself to you! But keep your eyes and ears open for HE's sure to answer! May the LORD bless you on your journey!

I’m a Christian, the best proof I’ve ever seen is the fulfillment of Bible prophecies by Jesus.(I mean there’s things like the chariots at the bottom of the Red Sea and things like that but they’re easily findable through a google search) Most of the prophecies were written 500-700 years before Jesus birth, most of which he couldn’t control like being born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), raised in egypt(hosea 11:1), lineage (Isaiah 11:1) and there’s many more. It’s so interesting to study and to see direct references to those prophecies in the New Testament. If you ever wanted more examples or explanations I would love to give them.👍

What is absolutely amazing to me about scientists being atheist is this fact. They know that everything around them has evidence, and a lot of areas do not have it. But God has all the answers. Why ? He created it all. Man simply does not have all the answers. It's why we have to take him by faith. He explains this when we are told that we have to come to him like a little child. Because compared to him. That is all we are here in this world. Always searching for answers. But don't you think that is a good way to be. Why ? If you had all the answers life would probably be pretty boring. He created science for you to discover and enjoy. He wanted us to find the answers to things that he made. Every time something new is invented or comes about we enjoy watching it unfold. It's what helps us not only to become better at what would do. We have new challenges in life. It's what creates excitement and other things. It should be like waking up Christmas morning, and you cannot wait to see what's there for you. Now that doesn't mean you should be hyper active and drive someone crazy. But the smiles and enjoyment you get at that moment. Your life should be full of them. Some people get it from competitive sports watching. Others maybe building a favorite project. Others around family. So many good things. He also wanted us to share these things with others. The ones who are interested in your field. The world needs all these different individuals in order to make a better place. Can you imagine if all we had were plumbers. Nothing else would get done. Einstein who most scientists understand. Later in life became a believer. Why ? He seen it in science. As he began to unfold what God had given him for his mind realized. Everything was made with perfection. He finally realized if it was made with perfection. Then there definitely had to be a Creator behind it all. He was absolutely right. Just like a Creator or Designer of that car. We have one for this world. We are like the mechanic now trying to figure it all out and how it works. God once dropped this thought in my mind that I have never ever thought about. He reminded me that the first TV set was not picture perfect. It took time and many other people to make it what it is today. Today the graphics and clearness is absolutely remarkable when you stop and think about it. Each day things can get better when we simply trust him to help us make a way. God wants us to prosper and to live the best life possible. But we simply cannot do that with sin in our life. What is sin. It is when you do things against God who has already planned a beautiful life for you. It's like throwing muddy water into a pure clean glass of water. You lose the enjoyment that God wanted you to have with that clean glass of water. It's good to hear our brother found God. He was waiting there all along for you to see. Even the angels in heaven rejoice every time a sinner gets saved and returns home like the prodigal. It's a beautiful homecoming to the family of God. God Bless !!

I think there is a hidden answer in that, although a non religions person will probably mock on it before trying to understand it. I was a hardcore atheist myself. Although I believe this world needs the divine for it to make sense (yes, I know the argument "it doesn't need to make sense", which I desagree completely), I think what this guy is talking about is just a sign of maturity. I suspect that he really did believe there must be a greater power, a Creator, but his observations of so called Christians was accurate. The hypocrisy, hatred and immorality that he saw from Christians understandably confused him and supported his unbelief. But just because people call themselves Christians doesn't make them Christians. Ask a Christian how often he reads his Bible, and more importantly, does he obey what he reads. God wants relationship with us. He wants us to know his heart. If you never spend any time with your wife, how well would you say you know her? Even if you went every week and sat with a crowd of people to hear someone speak about your wife for a few minutes you may learn a few things about her but would you say you're in relationship with her? She'd say she doesn't even know you. That's what God is going to say to these people, "I never knew you". Humble yourself and put away any pride, pray to God and ask him to save you, then start reading his word and get to know this amazing God. Obey what you read and keep praying to him. Ask for wisdom, understanding. Find brothers who are solid in the word, who read the Bible and are obedient servants of Christ and stick with them. Then teach others how to do the same. I hope to see you in heaven Zach. Pray for me will you?

Bible says trust not in your own thinking, since our thinking is limited and can easily be fooled.Trust me, I saw people shown bones and drawings and they believed, and they called it intelligence.

Videos like this always make me think of Rupert Brooke’s poem about the ideas which fish have about Heaven: ‘This life cannot be all, they swear / For how unpleasant if it were.’

Thank you almighty Lord, may you pray for us too Blessed Virgin Mary and Angels and Saints. Help us our lord, and guide us. And in the mighty name of Jesus through the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit Amen!!!!!🙏🏽

Friend its totally up to you who you ask to pray for you, but if I were you I would take Mary, the angels and the saints out of the equation. Why is because Salvation and eternal life only comes by -> Faith Alone -> through Jesus Christ the LORD. Nothing more, Nothing less! It is absolutely up to you Charles but before you do would you please look up what we call the sinners prayer and pray only in Jesus' Name. Please do it now Charles before its too late. I can tell you that no one other than Jesus will come into your life, not the blessed Virgin Mary, not the angels nor the saints. God may send the angels to put a hedge of protection around you, but as far as they or Mary or the saints, no they cannot help you with Jesus' Salvation! Mary and the saints are long in the grave and they await the judgment same as you and I. It's just Jesus Charles, His work on the Cross alone. He is the Savior and you only pray to Him. No matter what anyone else ever tells you. And Charles, start to read the Bible starting with the Book of John. John is Jesus Gospel to you, written specifically for you, a gentile in need of Jesus Gospel! Read it and hear every word.

@@vickiesutherland4628 Thank you for clearing that up. A lot of what is taught in the Catholic religion is straight-up blasphemous. I can't understand why people pray to the dead or call another mortal being father and expect him to absolve them of their sins. No mortal man has the power to do that even if he is a man of God.

God gave us free will , so we react to what's going on around us , most of us do anyway . I've always felt there was something beyond this physical world , in fact I've never had any doubt . What's to come is amazing beyond belief .

I knew an atheist. Smart man with good career in law. Sadly he committed suicide. He had a wife and little girl. No one saw it coming.
