1. Even now, months after this announcement, no image of the alleged inscription has ever been released. This is inexplicable given the lab's previous history of always releasing scan images. 2. The alleged inscription is not "proto-hebrew." All seven (or eight?... the actual number is unclear) words necessary to compose the curse are general Canaanite. They are the same across essentially all the local languages of the supposed time. 3. The alleged inscription is not written in "proto-alphabetic letters." It uses an established actual alphabet... or more accurately, an abjad (as vowels were not included).
