I go with the theory of a mysterious planet with an irregular orbit that goes far out in the solar system then comes in close between the earth and sun causing a 3 day eclipse. It would also explain the star of Bethlehem and the storms and tectonic events that happened around the world during the 3 days of darkness. It might also be able to explain the flood of Noah.
