Athens Axxis 33 First look/review!

The all New Athens Axxis 33! The no need for a press tunability bow!
I did cover the Accutune system a couple of times in the video, because I felt like as big of an achievement it was, it deserved covering.
I made a mistake on riser, it is not a different Aluminum, but it is a slightly redesigned riser, which did make it a stiffer riser.

Love it! Might be my next rig..still shooting a 2017 Elite tempo. Athens and Elite have the best looking risers...I hate the Mathews erector set looking risers.

Looks great and lots of good features on it for sure. It appears to be making about the same speed that the Vista 33 did accounting for it being at 28.5 in this video and the Vista you tested being at 29. I'm curious to see how well the new tuning system holds up with it going through the limbs and not being in a separate block on top of the limb like the Bowtechs. If they had the new tech on an Elevate this year I would be awfully tempted.

And as far as speed, it looks like it's gonna be about 10 fps slower than the vista's. A person will dang near never notice 10 fps. Slower due to the longer brace hight. I like a 7" bh myself. A tad more forgiving.

@@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery Cool. I'm more of a lower poundage speed bow guy. I like my SR6 at 60 pounds better than a slower 70 pound bow. 6" brace height is fine with me.

Thanks bud. I try to think of ways to give every piece of info I can for yall. It's a Microsoft Excell spread sheet that I set up like that. Its a pretty cool tool. Only other thing ive thought about is about is a Decible meter to measure shot sound. Just too many variables to overcome.

What kinda speeds could be expect for a 27 inch draw 70 lbs and 440 grain arrow? I have the 31 on order! I have never owned an Athens but really impressed with there bows!

Id expect around that 260ish mark. Man you will not be disappointed. Athens is the best Unintentionally kept secret in the archery industry.

Feels like a rubber coated Vista grip. Did you happen to get to try an elevate? It's just like elevate. It is really nice, narrow but solid.

Nope. It is totally different the way it functions. Same general idea, but different way of doing it.
