Thanks for the great video Wade! I am fairly new to compound bow archery, I shot recurve for a while but really love compound more and now fully committed to it instead. But I am having an issue and I can't seem to find the cause of it. I have searched online and it seems like nobody else has this issue lol I wanted to ask you if hand placement, form , or cam timing or anything else causes the cable string to pop off of the cable rails or wheels(im blanking on the exact term of it right now but its the little rollers that hold back the cables from touching each other and your arm) after shooting a shot. So, I don't have the greatest bow ever its the karnage dynamic bow i bought from bear(im not exactly swimming in money) and the original cable guards it came with had the same issue, after i shot, the cable string would pop out of the guard, just one string and i would have to pop it back in. This would only happen every now and then with the manufacturers plastic cable guard. I thought ok m,aybe the cable guard itself was the issue so i ordered a different cable guard off amazon that has the wheels on it and changed that out but now after EVERY single shot the cable string still pops off and i have to keep putting it back on to take the next shot and I'm sure its wearing my cables down because of that. I have no idea whats causing it and have been looking for answers. Also, if you're in Florida, do you know of any good places to shoot longer distances around Jacksonville? Currently I just shoot in the backyard and its not that large lol the places i looked up seem to be closed for good. If you have a moment to give me some tips on these questions i'd truly appreciate it. If not, thanks for the great videos either way, I watched several and they've been a great help.

New subscriber…. I have not had any issues out of the Tac vanes. I hear some say they do, but I like them so far. I to have been trying to decide on 3 verses 4 fletch. But I’m still in the air on that. So, you like the TKO arrows better than the axis 5mm? Do you have a video on why, besides the spine indicator?
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery 9 күн бұрын
@C.Fowler no video, just personal preference and I have just personally seen woven carbon fiber hold up better to abuse. I don't have anything against other shafts. I do like the axis and have set up several bows with them. Once I figured out the correct way to apply the tac vanes I really like them. I had issues at first but that was just how I was setting jig up and not using thier prep pen. Thanks for the Sub!!! I really appreciate that!

@BucksBeesS.C. them ol bloodline were some good arrows! Kinda hard to come by now though! Gotta snatch then hp when ya can find some. And I have ran blazers for a long time myself as well. Just a solid do all type fletching. I'm hearing the black sky is the same style Blazer but with a stuffer material to be quieter. That'll be something to check into.

@stick__shooter 9 күн бұрын
I haven't found much different at longer range between 3 and 4 fletch unless I was using very small vanes like a Pro Max or Griff-X 2.3" vane. I also hate TAC vanes 😂. I'm messing around with the Bohning Black Sky 2.0 which is a Blazer profile but very stiff like a TAC vane and much easier to fletch. So far they fly broadheads really well in 3 fletch with helical and are much quieter than a Blazer. And only 6 grains each.
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery 9 күн бұрын
@stick__shooter I may have to check them out. I do like the stiffer material. The OG Blazer is just such a damg good fletching. So if they make em stiff that should be legit. It has taken me a while to get the hang of the tac vanes. They are just finicky. Gotta use thier vabe prep. Then make sire there is 0 aor bubbles. And the big thing is make sure u have 100% contact. Once I got a jig to work I labeled it Tac and I don't adjust it! Lol. Imma check out them black sky! Thanks for telling me that.

Hey thanks, video was very informative. I recently restrung my hca extreme bow. Bottom cam was hitting first pushing the string out at full draw. I followed instructions on bus strings, i did string twist on main string still was out of sync. A few twist of the bus strings and cam are touching almost exactly same time. There is less torque when arrows are shot. Before I timed it, the bow was almost getting flung out of my grip on release. Now it smoother on release not a big jolt of torque. So thanks.

@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery 2 ай бұрын
Really similar. Draw cycle is nearly identical. The grip is a little beefier. The shot itself bow is dead in hand but you feel a little resonance in the riser after shot. Just a slight hum. Not much just a tad. It balanced and held a lot like a Vista. It may sound a little strange but I felt the Vista was a "classy feeling" bow. This sequel feels a little more tough, robust if that makes sense.

The consequence or bear Alaskan xt, which would you choose?
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery
@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery 3 ай бұрын
I personally like the Darton a tad better. The bear is a tad faster, but the darton has a litter better "quality feel" to it and draw is smoother. I shot the Alaskan at the ata, draw cycle is a tad more aggressive which is where it gets its extra fps. Me personally I like a smoother draw over a speed cam. Either are great but I'd pick the consequences personally. Hope that helps.

I have the Vista 35, and was about to order the Axxis 35 when I heard the unfortunate news. If the draw cycle is like the Vista, it was well worth the money. To all those who bought one already, good luck on the lifetime warranty. Tracie and Jim were good people to deal with, especially where customer service was concerned. They produced fine bows, but went for a risky grand slam in providing a copycat to the Deadlock system. Hopefully, they will start a new endeavor one day in the future. Here's the truth folks. For those who now want to point fingers, please do so knowing almost every major bow manufacturer is guilty of copycatting something (i.e. Bowtech copied Mathews Bridgelock system). Every year, manufacturers fib about the IBO speed rating of their bows, the weight, etc. In reality, there are very little differences in bows that make the previous year's model stand out over the new ones. These nuances also probably do little to make one a better archer. I started shooting compounds with Bowtech's Boss back in 2017, and still shoot it better than my 2022 Bowtech Revolt XL. Athens took a big gamble and lost. It happens to companies every day.
