Just got back from Athens stayed in Plaka at Home and Poetry Hotel. Roof top view was sweet and great location. Staff amazing. Breakfast was a tasty Highly recommend it.

Great video! We just returned from 2 weeks in Athens and cruise. We stayed at the Wyndham Grand in Metaxourgeio and their rooftop breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night bar is amazing with a view to the Acropolis.

Just left Athens and this video was of great help and spot on!! Ended up at Anglais after summiting the Acropolis. Amazing view and very affordable! Just take the elevator and don’t do the stairs…..trust me.

@@ams7528 no we didn't. Just walked in. Be warned, the building is super sketchy. The bar is up on the top floor and roof but the rest of building seems empty and is a complete mess. Everything was great up top though!

But went to check their menu and didn't find grilled octopus. Wanted to try well cooked octopus in Athens... Any suggestions? And want to remind you that you promised us good restaurants around the market. Frankly, I will choose a great restaurant with a great food than the one with a view. Thank you for your great videos!

If you are booking a hotel partly because they have a nice roof top restaurant, make sure you ask the hotel first whether they will have its roof top open during your stay before booking. It’s also a chance to test how nice their customer service is before paying. I made the mistake of booking one of the costlier hotels in the area without checking first, but it turns out their restaurant will be closed for unknown reasons during the time that work for me. Also the hotel is being arrogant and ignoring questions via both email and booking app (a reason to know all the answers before you book a non-refundable room!). So don’t book until you receive a satisfactory answer
