Good explanation, thank you. Going in March 5th and based on the prices, round tripflight ticket costs only 120$can vs. Ferry 50€X2. I think I'll take the flight 😆.

We are planning a honeymoon the second week of November and we are in between Santorini or Mykonos. Which one would you recommend? We are also hoping to go out at night even if it’s just one bar/club open. Any advice on that? We mainly wanna sight see and spend time in our room relax.
@GreeceExplainedКүн бұрын
Mykonos closes around Oct 25th, Santorini around Nov 15th. So definitely Santorini !

Your driver will be waiting for you inside the terminal, just as you exit the doors after picking up your bags. Moxy Hotel is in Omonia, not the best neighborhood.

I agree with your selection of Niko’s. Was in Mykonos in early April of this year and it was their opening night. Really nice atmosphere, good food and friendly service.

Santorini feels like heaven on earth with the tiny houses cosily huddled together. Amazing weather, friendly people!! Be careful with the food prices here though, they really rip off tourists, the prices are higher than most expensive cities in the west like Berlin, Paris maybe at par with London. 15 Euros on average for 1 small meal and thats without taxes, most restaurants show prices before Tax!

Greetings, I was wondering which Greek mobile Internet providers offer portable pocket wi-fi routers for rental to foreign visitors. Could this be organized directly with such providers online? I have done this for a recent trip to Japan and South Korea (and things went really smoothly as you could pick up and drop off the routers at the airports). Regards, Bernardo.

Just this week I visited both Meteora and Delphi. In my opinion, Meteora is so much nicer and beautiful to go to, if you have to choose of course. Views are just extraordinary, but Delphi... I mean yeah there is a lot of history behind it, and it is in quite a nice looking place, but it's just a big set of ruins and that's it. You will walk around all of them in under an hour, while it will take you like 4-6 hours to hike all Meteora. But I still glad I went to see Delphi nevertheless! Will have a videos walking in those places soon too.

Hi Sebastian, if I wanted to take a taxi from the cruise terminal to the Piraeus Metro station, just opposite the ferry terminals, would the taxi drivers frown on that option? Best to offer the Euro10 for the short journey? Comments please.
@GreeceExplained15 күн бұрын
Some drivers are a little disappointed when they hear that, but hey its their job :D Just make sure to make it clear BEFORE entering the taxi. I've heard a few stories where people told the destination while the taxi was already driving towards the city center, and the driver was not happy ... And yes, 10€ is a good estimation :-)

Just came back from Santorini, your videos were very helpful and save us a lot of time. I was looking for the wooden boat as a marker that the Three Bells of Fira was coming up, but didn’t see it, so we ended up walking further. When we realized we passed it, we saw the wooden boat was covered to the side so it would be have been easily missed. 2:18

An Australian traveller here, I’ve just returned from the Greek Islands and I was underwhelmed with the beaches I saw…great water, but pebble and gravel instead of sand, and little to no shade options, no thanks. I felt like I was on a quarry. Great to see you showcasing Greek beaches that have sand. More of these please.

We went to Elafonisi for the first time last June. It was just as beautiful as we imagined it. We did end up renting a car and driving ourselves there from Chania, though.We wanted to spend at least a couple of days, there, so we needed up booking a very nice place, located literally steps away from the parking lot, and convenience store. I highly recommend people who visit Crete to make it a point to visit Elafonisi at least once. Do you think you can make more videos on other Cretan beaches like Balos, Falassarna and Kissamos for instance
